THANK YOU On behalf of the Al-Rahmah School I would like to thank the Youth Group, the Board of Education and the parents who came to work in the school, literally, day and night to prepare the school for the opening. No job was too big or too small – from putting together and moving furniture to cleaning, polishing, wiping, sweeping, cleaning the trash….etc. It is a strong indication of the community’s dedication and passion about the school and its success. May Allah(swt) reward everyone for all that you have done and continue to do to support our children and the school. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Dear Parents and Guardians, Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatu, Allahamdulillah we had a great start of the new school year. With the grace of Allah(swt) and the help from our youth group and parents and teachers, we were ready to welcome our students on August 26 th to the freshly painted corridors of Al-Rahmah School. As a new member of the ISB community and the Principal of Al-Rahmah, I have been overwhelmed with the warm welcome of the community members and parents. It has been wonderful to hear encouraging comments from you about the newly implemented adjustments that are associated with the new leadership. The staff at Al-Ramah strives to provide the students with the best academic and social education that are embedded in our strong Islamic values. We look forward to hear from you and work with you in strong partnership as exemplary role models to our children. Dr. Fawzia Fazily, Ed.D. Principal . Seventeen students from grades 7-12 were selected

as the School Monitors on Thursday, October 2nd.

This was the first stage of a newly introduced

Character Building and Leadership Program that

will be implemented in several phases this year,

Inshallah. Students who exhibited outstanding

Islamic social character and exemplary academic

effort consistently since, at least the beginning of

the current academic year were identified and

recommended by a minimum of three staff

members/teachers to the Principal. The

recommendations went through a process of

review and selection by the administrative staff.

As part of the first phase of the program

certificates and badges were presented to the

newly selected Monitors during a small ceremony

by Dr. Fazily, Br. Patrick (Athletic Director) and

Sr. Terea (Health/PE Teacher).

We are extremely proud of them and wish them all

the success in their new responsibilities.

Interim Reports

For the first time, we are providing parents with a summary of the children’s progress in

a narrative form. It helps the teachers to reflect on each child and provide the parents

with specific academic and social progress. Thank you for being patient with us as we

are adjusting to the new system.
