DROP OFF & PICK UP As mentioned in the September Newsletter, please DO NOT drop off or pick up your child in front of the main entrance. For safety reasons, we ask that you please respect this rule and find a parking space and walk your son/daughter into the building. *If you are running late to class, we ask you please still find a parking spot—your teacher will understand.

• LA-TEE-DA! FUNDRAISER

o Fundraiser packets will be handed out to students in their class the 1st week in October.

o Orders and payment are due by Thursday, October 26th by 8pm. o All orders must be picked up at the studio on

Wednesday, December 6th from 6pm-7:30pm. o Contact Steph Motsko at 610.481.0473 with any fundraiser

questions. • COLUMBUS DAY- We are open for all classes! • HALLOWEEN- We care closed for all evening classes.

*Miss Meghan’s Pre-School I Tuesday morning will have class on Halloween.

AT EOD THIS MONTH:

MONTHLY TUITION Your monthly tuition is due by the 1st lesson of each month. You will not receive an invoice each month

since your tuition stays the same from month to month. However, if your tuition is not received you will

receive an invoice with a $10 late fee. PLEASE BE PROMPT WITH YOUR PAYMENT SO

WE DO NOT HAVE TO ISSUE A LATE FEE J

office to sign up today! • Online Bill Pay- Log on to your parent portal and

submit your payment with a debit or credit card. • Stop by the studio office to pay with cash, check

PRE-SCHOOL & COMBO CLASSES A dance bag is required for all students in the following classes: Pre-School I, Pre-School II, Pre-School III, Pre-Ballet/Jazz, and Jazz/Tap I. Students can use any kind of bag. They just need something to carry their dance shoes into class each week.

All students should place their name on their dance bag and their initials inside of their shoes (to help avoid any mix-ups).

Dear Parents & Students, What a wonderful start to our 23rd season!!! Thank you so much for sharing your back 2 dance photos with us! The teachers and myself are so happy to be back dancing, tumbling & twirling and creating new memories with your son/daughter! We are so excited to watch as each student progresses throughout the season J If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to see me, your son’s/daughter’s teacher, or Miss Nicole in the office. ~Miss Tanya~

EMAIL You will receive the newsletters once a month by email and any other important information or reminders. If you are not receiving emails from us, please notify the office right away so you do not miss out on anything important.

Join in on the fun and dress up in an old Recital

Costume or in your Halloween costume the week of Tuesday, October 24th - Monday, October 30th!

*We ask that you please wear a costume that is movable and comfortable, along with your required shoes for class. We will continue with learning and working on

our technique, along with learning combinations to Halloween music!

WE WILL BE CLOSED ON HALLOWEEN FOR TRICK OR TREAT FOR ALL EVENING CLASSES

ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31ST. *Miss Meghan’s Pre-School I Tuesday morning will

have class on Halloween and can dress up on Halloween Day!

Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 1st.

CONTEST RUNS FROM OCTOBER 2ND- 23RD!

Send us your best photo of you dancing in the air for your chance a win a $20 Surprise Gift Card! Photos will be posted in the waiting area and winners will be chosen on Tuesday, October 24th.

CONTEST RULES

Contest is open to ALL Expression of Dance students. Email your photo to: mstanya@ptd.net. One photo per dancer will be accepted. Photo must be submitted by 10/24/17. Professional photo is not required. Photo can be taken in any manner, but

must be “Airborne” (see examples below).

LOOKING AHEAD • STAY TUNED FOR A NEW CONTEST IN NOVEMBER

AND ANOTHER CHANCE TO WIN! J • FALL BREAK

o The studio will be closed for fall break from Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th. Classes will resume on Monday, November 27th.

• RECITAL COSTUMES o Students will be measured for their recital costumes at the

beginning of next month. o A $50 recital costume deposit, for each class your son/daughter

is enrolled in, is due before Thursday, November 30th. Payments can be made towards this at any time online through your parent portal or at the office.

o If your son/daughter will not be participating in our annual recital in June, a written statement must be submitted to the studio office before November 30th, 2017. If the office is not notified, a costume will be ordered and you will be liable for the entire cost of the costume.

o Tentative Recital Dates (dates will be confirmed in December) § Dress Rehearsal

§ Recital Weekend • A Show Classes Friday Night, June 8th & Saturday Matinee, June 9th • B Show Classes Saturday Night, June 9th & Sunday Matinee, June 10th

• PARENT VISITATION- December 4th through December 14th o We invite all parents (and siblings) in to your child’s class in December. It’s a chance for you to see what your

son/daughter has been learning throughout the past few months! The visitation is for two weeks, however each class will be given ONE specified visitation day. You will receive a schedule in November to let you know when your son’s/daughter’s will have his/her visitation.

o If you are unable to make it to the parent visitation in December, we will allow you to observe during Grandparent Visitation week in the Spring.

• HOLIDAY PARTIES IN DECEMBER- Look for more information coming soon! • BLACK FRIDAY SALE

o Our Black Friday sale will run the month of December until we close for Winter Break. Look for the flyer next month!
