In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Fran-

cis of Assisi, known for his love of all of

God's creatures, St. Ann will hold Blessing

of the Animals prayer service. Animal lov-

ers are invited to bring their pets to have

them blessed and gently sprinkled with

holy water at 7:30 AM on October 4, 2021.

Pets and people will gather on the St. Ann

field near the pavilion.

Help support the increasing number of refugees arriving to

the KC Metro. Starting next weekend (10/9 & 10/10) collec-

tion bins will be available for donations of NEW linens, NEW

cleaning supplies and NEW full-sized toiletries.

Please join us for an Evening with Deacon Steve Ngu-

yen! He will share with our group his story of coming to

America and his experience as a refugee. The date is Fri-

day, October 15 at 6:30 pm. in the Parish Hall. We will start

the evening with a social time with appetizers and beverag-

es followed by Deacon Steve's presentation. This will also

tie in with a Parish-wide collection drive for supplies for

Afghan refugees. Please feel free to bring donations that

Troop Support

Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. will premiere on the St.

Ann Catholic School Gym Stage on Thursday, October 14

at 6:30pm. The 60-minute musical, designed for middle-

school aged performers, is based on the 2008 Broadway

production and the 1989 animated feature film. The 7th

and 8th grade cast contains approximately 36 student

performers led by Ms. Abby Helt and Mrs. Erin Sexton.

Bring your family, admission is free. The Little Mermaid

will become a "Part of Your World"!

Tuesday October 12 from 9-11in the John

Bosco Rm. We are excited to start packing

for our troops again. We welcome new

members. Masks are required. We are

in most need of nutritious snacks, nuts, beef

jerky, trail mix, single serve drink mixes such

mio, microwave popcorn, peanut butter and

crackers, raman, soup, packaged tuna,etc. Personal hy-

giene products such as dental care, deodorant, shampoo,

etc. are needed. Donations can be left at a box in front of

the parish office. As one commander stated, care packages

are the highlight of the day and help keep morale
