It is interesting to n*»te a few o' th»* change* that have <*•- curred in the game in th«* past decade. In 1915 eleven men went ' out to start a game, and generally th»»*e same eleven men finished it. Few substitutions were made. As a matter **f fact th»*n* were only about 10 men on the s»|U/.»l. Today, although less than ten years off* the steps of Old Nassau, he has completed researches that have improved the motor-and-generator-building arts.
An interesting problem that came to him here was the development of an analytical or
mathematical method of pre determining the temperature of a motor or a generator under a given power cycle. Nothing so comprehensive had been undertaken before. When developed, however, the method would per mit a more scientific application of motors and generators to practical requirements. Safety factors could be cut down. Smaller ar paratus could be used, with ' suiting economies.
The work was exacti/^ and fhe researches not apertac u|ar |_the end, however, there emergeda formula that is now «Aj,e ,,rol>. erty of the indu.try . ln Jl ^ stands as an importan* iad itI„ n to the field of e- , n in. formation. f
