Vicente FornoMajor: Music and Sound Recording Hometown: Salisbury, CT
“I love living across the street from campus in
the Atwood because the staff and the people
who work here are very welcoming and warm. Also, because the facili-
ties and appliances are new, everything works flawlessly. I also enjoy
the amount of space we have here — the design and layout give me a
real sense of luxury.”

later, I’m surprisingly happier than I have ever been. I love the fam-
ily I have created on campus, especially in my residence hall. I live
in Bergami hall next to some of my best friends, and I continue to
make new ones every day. I feel that the University of New Haven
is my home now.”

get to see them every day.”
Lauren FliggMajor: Forensic ScienceHometown: Princeton, MA

it’s not too big or overwhelming. I
also love the proximity to all of my classes and the events
that occur on campus. I feel that being on campus makes me
much more involved.”

“I love living in Celentano Hall because my RA is
friendly and welcoming, and I have been able
to experience independent living while still residing on campus.”
Samantha SlazaMajor: UndecidedHometown: Lawrenceville, NJ
“I love living on campus because it gives
me the opportunity to really grow as an individual. You learn to
manage a home life and school life which I believe has made me
a stronger person who is able to manage her time better with the
extra responsibilities. I love living in Winchester because it’s as if
I’m living in my own apartment with some really great friends. It’s
a very inviting place to live with some great roommates. I couldn’t

Victoria StearnsMajor: PsychologyHometown: Westborough, MA
“I loved living in Dunham. I have visited
every residence hall on campus, and
Dunham is, by far, my favorite. Dunham
is an apartment-style residence hall, which I liked very much
because it gave me the feeling of independence that I was
expecting from going to college. Each of the suites in Dunham
has a full kitchen with a stove and an oven, a bathroom with a
full bathtub, and plenty of closet and storage space. Although it
is farther from the center of campus than some other residence
halls, I think that Dunham is worth the walk just to have the
amenities that it provides.”

Lauren GranatoMajor: Graphic DesignHometown: Southington, CT
“All I can say about Ruden is that
it was a great experience. Everyone in
the apartments was really close-knit, and many of us still connect.
It’s also a little quieter than housing on the main campus, which
was a nice break. The apartments themselves are really nice and
have their own living rooms and bathrooms. I especially loved
being able to cook in my own apartment!”
Mark GonzalskiMajor: Forensic ScienceHometown: Syracuse, NY
“Living on campus allows me to be closer

“Living in campus housing has provided
me with so many incredible opportunities

the University. I’ve loved the flexibility that Savin Court has given
me because I’ve been able to gain a new sense of independence
but still be completely surrounded by my fellow classmates. I do
not believe my time at the University of New Haven would have
been the same, nor would I have met my friends, had it not have
been for living in campus housing.”

“Living on campus gives me the opportunity
to interact with peers my own age. Plus, I’m
able to see all the work that they put in every second of every day. If I
lived off campus, I would not have as much motivation to keep bettering
myself because I wouldn’t see all the leaders around me working so
hard.”
Madison ConteMajor: Forensic ScienceHometown: Doylestown, PA
“Living on campus is such a unique experience.
What I love about living on campus this year
in Forest Hills is that the rooms are nice and they have a full kitchen!”

“The Main Street Condos is a luxurious
place to live that makes you feel right at
home. I definitely did not feel as though I
was living in campus housing. With two bedrooms, two and a half
bathrooms, granite countertops, walk-in closets, deck, two-car
garage, and oh, did I mention a FIREPLACE, Main Street is a great
place to live — a real ‘home away from home.’ Even if you don’t
have a car, that’s okay. The University provides shuttle service
that gets you to campus very easily. I really enjoyed living in Main
Street and wish I had lived there sooner than my senior year!”
Kayla SteefelMajor: Criminal Justice Hometown: New York, NY
“I love living in Sheffield because it’s in the
middle of campus, and it’s easy to get to everything from here.”

BOREDOM HAS NO HOME HEREThe University’s 150 RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS are 150 reasons to step outside your residence hall
and get involved — and it’s so easy to do when you’re a stone’s throw away. You’ve probably already made your unique
contributions felt in some of these clubs, but if you’ve been procrastinating a bit, now’s the time to expand your horizons.
Many alumni, when asked if they would have had done anything differently during college, say they wished they
had become more involved —they felt they had missed out on memorable experiences and memorable people by
not being more of a joiner.

Board Meals offer breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, with brunch and dinner on weekends. Those are meals you don’t even have to think about. And, it’s “all you care to eat.” Dining Dollars can then kick in for between-meal snacks at any of our dining locations or to buy groceries. The Charger Cash option gives you even more freedom — the ability to put funds on your ID card and use it at locations all over town, including Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway, CVS, and more.
