Step 1: Tap on Settings from your iOS device’s Home screen

Apple iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad / iPad Mini (with iOS 4 or later) Required Items: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or iPad Mini with iOS 4 or later This guide will assist you with configuring your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or iPad Mini (with iOS 4 or later) to access the MyYSU Mail system. The setup instructions will be set up in steps. Please be sure to complete all of the setting changes in each step before moving on to the next. Note: The main document utilizes Exchange ActiveSync connectivity for mail, contacts, and

calendar synchronization. However, Exchange also requires accepting a variety of device management features and policies on mobile devices. If you would prefer an IMAP mail-only setup, please contact the Tech Desk using the contact information listed on our website at http://techdesk.ysu.edu

Step 2: Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Step 4: Tap Microsoft Exchange

Step 5: Fill in the following information about your Office 365 Mail account: Email: Your YSU e-mail address (ending in @student.ysu.edu for Students or @ysu.edu for Faculty/Staff) Password: Your YSU password Description: YSU Email Note: If you see fields for Domain and Username, leave the Domain field blank and enter your YSU e-mail address again for the Username. If you also see Server, use the server outlook.office365.com Tap Next

Step 6: Additional Exchange Options If the service sliders are in the proper positions for your desired configuration, tap Save and move to Step 7. If any sliders are in the ON position and you do not want to those features from Office 365, move the sliders to the OFF (left) position, tap Save and move to Step 7. If any sliders are in the OFF position and you do want to synchronize Contacts and Calendars from Office 365, stay at this screen and go to the next part of this step.

Step 6 (Continued, Optional): Contacts and Calendars Synchronization When you swipe a toggle to the ON position, you may be prompted with one or two messages about what to do with existing local information. Tap Keep on My iPhone to maintain your existing local information and add information from Office 365. When finished at this window, tap Save.

Step 8: Click your Home button to finish the setup. Congratulations! You have successfully configured your iOS device to access your Office 365 e-mail account! Your Office 365 mail will be accessible from the “Mail” app and your other features (if added) will be accessible from their respective apps.

Step 7: Set up No Limit mail synchronization After you are back at the Mail, Contacts, Calendars window, locate your newly added YSU Office 365 Email account. Tap on that account to see its account information. Once here, tap the Mail Days to Sync option. On the screen with time options, tap No Limit. Make sure the box for it is checked and then back out of that window by tapping the account name.
