Common Academic Coaching Topics: Students can access Drop-In Tutoring and Review sessions on the OAS Canvas page under the Conferences tab. Drop tutoring is conducted by Alumni Tutors who are graduates of the SON, have successfully passed the NCLEX and a currently enrolled in a Rutgers graduate program or are working in the medical field. Alumni Tutors can tutor all undergraduate nursing classes and apply their experience as nurses when helping students understanding nursing concepts. Academic Coaching for Nursing Excellence workshops are held each semester to engage students in learning activities and dialogue about strategies to advance learning and support scholarship. The Office of Academic Success offers regular small group tutoring for frequently requested courses. Students can join small-group tutoring for classes including Health Assessment and Pathophyiology. Students can join small-group tutoring by requesting a tutoring appointment.
