Mr Robert Henry DICKERSON, 34 Queen Street, Woollahra NSW 2025 For distinguished service to the visual arts as a figurative painter, and to the community through support for a range of cultural, medical research and social welfare organisations. Mr Dickerson is a figurative painter and has been involved in the visual arts since 1956. During the late 1950s he was part of the figurative art movement known as The Antipodeans, which paved the way for Australian art on the international scene. Throughout his career Mr Dickerson has been represented in numerous major national galleries and collections as well as holding over 120 solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. Ms Barbara WIELAND, Prospect SA 5082 For distinguished service to public administration in, and to the community of, South Australia through the delivery and reform of mental health services. Ms Wieland left Health SA during 2012 after 40 years’ distinguished service in the public mental health sector in South Australia. General Manager, Rehabilitation and Recovery Services, Central Northern Adelaide Health Service, Health SA. Service Director, North Western Adelaide Mental Health Service. Director of Nursing of the SAMHS; among other roles. After leaving Health SA Ms Wieland completed a contract in the Office of the Public Advocate, and is currently employed in Aged Care. Her achievements include: Introduction of people with a 'lived experience' of mental illness (consumers or carers) into the mental health services workforce. Advocated for legislative reform in the area of Mental Health Services. Key role in establishing the first public mental health service related Consumer Advisory Group, later replicated across each mental health area service. A leader for over 20 years in developing and improving quality in public, integrated community mental health services. Developed the only metropolitan Adelaide Aboriginal Mental Health liaison program with Indigenous peer workers. Promoted and supported ongoing professional development, leadership and enhancement of allied health professional roles and structures within mental health services. Convenor, Mental Health Services Conference of Australia and New Zealand (TheMHS), when held in Adelaide. TheMHS is an international mental health education forum and organises two major mental health events annually, the Conference and the Summer Forum. TheMHS Conference is the largest meeting of mental health professionals, consumers and carers in Australasia.
