The Field Test Secretary will acknowledge the receipt of electronically transmitted entries. * Temporary Competition Fee (TCN Number): As established by the CKC, this fee must accompany the entry fees for a dog if a CKC Individual Registration Number, Event Registration Number (ERN) is not shown on the entry form. This is in addition to the entry fee(s) for each test entered. Exhibitors should be aware that the CKC does not confer a title on any dog that until it is individually registered. All entry forms are to be completed and in the hands of the Field Test Secretary and entry fees paid in full BY THE CLOSING DATE. Vizsla Canada reserves the right to remove a dog from the running order if entry fees have not been paid in full. Fees for entries withdrawn after the closing time will not be refunded. The tendering of NSF cheques or cheques dated beyond the closing date shall be considered as non-payment of entry fees and is punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards. A collection fee of $25.00 will be added to the amount of any returned cheque.

Entries will be accepted starting Tuesday, August 4th at 12:00 Noon Pacific Daylight time Day of test entries will be accepted if the schedule and bird numbers allow. Such entries must be presented to the Test Secretary no later than 1 hour before the scheduled start time for that test along with an additional fee of $10.00. Entries close at 5:00 pm Saturday, August 15th (earlier if the limit is reached). The DRAW will be at 7:00 that evening at the Test Secretary’s home. WAIVER: All attendees, volunteers and participants are required to sign a Release, Consent and Indemnity for Field/Water Tests waiver before being allowed to participate in or view the test. LIABILITY: All entries for these Field Tests & Water Dog Tests are accepted on condition that Vizsla Canada, its officials and members, land and horse owners, are released from all liabilities for loss, damage or injury sustained by dog, horse or person in conjunction with, or during the running of these Field Dog & Water Dog Tests. All minors shall be under the direct care and supervision of their parent or guardian. Test Information:

• COURSES & BIRDS: Chukar, quail, pheasant and/or pigeons will be released. The tests will be run on a single course. Depending on course conditions, the Test Committee may adjust the course, including the addition of a bird field, to suit. All dogs with bird work will be shot over with blank cartridges on game contact.

Birds used for the WDJ Tests will be either chukar or pigeons.

• HORSES: May be used by judges &/or bird planters. There will be no horses allowed in the gallery.

• BLAZE ORANGE coat or vest & hat are recommended apparel for all participants & spectators when on the course.

• STARTER PISTOLS are required at all levels of the Field Dog Tests. Please provide your own or arrange to borrow one before you take your dog to the start line.

• GALLERY: A gallery of spectators may be permitted to follow the test dogs. This will be at the sole discretion of the judges and handlers. Spectators must stay together at all times & shall follow the directions of the judges & marshal.

• ENTRIES are limited to the number of dogs that can be run in approximately 8 hours judging time. • BITCHES IN SEASON will be allowed to run at the end of the day. After bitches in season have been

run, no other dogs will be run on the course until the next day. • COLLARING at ALL test levels is permitted only with permission of the Judge. • TRACKING COLLARS will be permitted. Only tracking collars that meet the CKC guidelines will be

allowed. A dog that is located using a tracking collar during its run is no longer under judgement. • EXERCISING OR TRAINING of any dogs on the grounds before, during or after the test is completed is

prohibited without the permission of the Field Test Chairman or Field Test Secretary. Access to the grounds before or after the weekend is NOT permitted. Anyone utilizing the site without permission will be banned from future events as will any dogs they own or co-own.

• NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED OUTSIDE OF YOUR VEHICLE. NO OPEN FLAME PERMITTED AT TEST SITE.

• All participants must be familiar with the CKC Rules and also the rules and provisions of this Premium List. CKC 2020 Field Dog & Water Tests rulebooks are available from the CKC or online at the CKC website.

ACCOMMODATIONS east side of Kamloops: Lamplighter Motel 250-372-3386 Super 8 by Wyndham 250-374-2488 Country View Motor Inn 250-374-7222 CAMPING: Self-contained units or tents are permitted on the site. There are no hook-ups and no potable water. Bring water for yourself and your dogs. A port-a-potti will be provided on-site.

Vizsla Canada is grateful to Tremblay Island Farm Ltd and Sidhu & Sons Nursery Ltd. for the use of these grounds. Please respect and abide by all good neighbor rules and leave your campsite clean.

NOTE: Access to these grounds has been granted on a one-time basis for the test weekend. Anyone failing to respect this will be banned from future events.

HOSPITALITY: Due to Covid-19 concerns we ask that everyone provide their own meals and snacks for the weekend. We will be unable to gather for our usual Pot Luck supper. Bottled water will be provided for workers. Please respect all Covid-19 related hygiene rules, practice physical distancing, provide your own chairs & tables and refrain from using those belonging to others unless you are invited. The club will ensure hand sanitizers are available at a number of locations at the site.

GENERAL INFORMATION: • BORDER CROSSING: A rabies certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada and the USA. Government

regulations require a valid Rabies Certificate dated at least 30 days prior to entry into Canada. Note that border crossings now involve more thorough inspection of vehicles, dogs and papers. Proof of citizenship is required for entry into Canada and return to the USA. Please carry proof of citizenship. At the test, we can arrange for you to borrow a starter pistol as it can be a problem to bring one across the border.

Directions to the site: Monte Creek Ranch, Kamloops Detailed directions will be provided to competitors & workers when the running order is published. The site is about 45 minutes drive from the east side of Kamloops. IF YOU HAVE TIME, PLEASE VISIT THE MONTE CREEK RANCH WINERY. THE WINERY OWNERS HAVE SUPPORTED OUR EVENT BY MAKING THE RANCH SITE AVAILABLE TO US.
