Together lets learn from experience
We have been installing power cable in offshore wind since UK Round 1
Offshore wind may be relatively new, but we have been installing cable under the sea for well over 160 years
Many of the processes and project management issues are similar in both Telecommunications & Offshore Power

Energy - Overview
5
We are the market leader for the cabling element of offshore wind farms, comprising the inter-turbine connection cables & export cables to shore.
Major new entry into growing Offshore Wind Farm market.
One of the only contractors in the world with significant experience in this market.
Wind Farms are seen as crucial to meeting the power needs of the UK & Europe.
Building latest generation of marine engineering, jobs and power infrastructure here in UK.
Our area of expertise is in the project design, installation, burial and eventual maintenance of array cables, export cables and inter-connectors.
An Explanation
6
Interconnectors are those systems
that join countries.
Eg. Britned – Britain to Netherlands.

One of the first major offshore wind farms operating in the UK, providing power from the Thames Estuary to the coast in Kent. Global Marine Systems installed and buried 3 export cables and 27 inter-array cables.
Beatrice Wind Farm
The installation and burial of the cables connecting the world’s first two offshore 5MW turbines and the Beatrice Alpha production platform.
EstLink
A HVDC inter-connector link between Estonia and Finland comprising of some 77 kilometres of bundled power cable, installed and buried by the CS Sovereign.
Barrow Wind Farm
Remedial work carried out on the inter-array cables using the CS Sovereign and the Atlas 1 trencher ROV.
OWEZ Wind Farm
Reburial of the export cables and the inter-array cables using the CS Sovereign and the Atlas 1 trencher ROV.
Horns Rev 2
Successfully completed the installation and burial of all the 91 inter-array cables using two cable lay barges namely the Pontra Maris and the Stemat 82.
Energy – Projects under construction
