PROJECT OVERALL GOAL

1. Develop, build and install research floating platforms to assess wind, wave and otherenvironmental conditions.

2. Develop floating substructures to support current multimegawatt offshore wind turbinesfor 50‐200 m sea depths at a competitive cost

3. OFFSHORE FLOATING STRUCTURES

PROJECT ORGANIZATIONPHASE 1:

Theoretical and functional validation. COMBSHORE project funded by CDTI (Finished)

PHASE 2:

Design, construction and installation of experimental floating platforms.

POM project funded by CDTI(Feb. 2009‐ Feb. 2011)

• Scale tests in water tankScale tests in water tank.

• Installation and instrumentation of 2 floating met masts.

• Installation and instrumentation of a 300kWWT on floating platform.

• Constructive, logistic and O&M development for floating offshore WTs.

PHASE 3:

Installation of grid connected multimegawatt floating WT
