attend the General Body Meeting at Poovar as he was away in the USA on personal commitments.
He also mentioned that Dr Sameer Rege who will be the Organising Secretary was committed
as Faculty at Nashik. Hence he requested leave of absence for both of them during the General
Body Meeting. He however reiterated his commitment to host IAESCON 2015 at Mumbai.
There was an extensive discussion regarding this matter and the General Body felt that someone
from Organising team must have attended AGM. However as a rarest of rare circumstance
it was decided to confirm the venue of IAESCON 2015 as Mumbai provided. The Organising
Secretary of IAESCON 2015 signs A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Honorary
Secretary of IAES with regard to smooth and successful conduct of IAESCON 2015 at
ASICON 2014.
Venue for IAESCON 2016
There was no application received from North Zone. However Dr Padmakumar from Kochi and
Dr Amit Agarwalon behalf of Dr Sudhi Agarwal from Meerut evinced interest to host IAESCON
2016. Dr Amit Agarwal did not wantNorth Zone to forego its chance of hoisting the Annual
Conference. However since Dr Sudhi Agarwal was not present in the AGM, the GB decided that it
would allow Dr Sudhi Agarwal time until ASICON 2014 for a formal request to IAES to host
IAESCON 2016.
Any other matter
Dr Amit Agarwal requested the GB permission to commence a Registry for Multiple
Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN). The GB agreed in principle but wanted Dr Amit Agarwal to present
the proforma and details before final approval.
Dr Saroj Mishra opined that it would be a good practice if IAES involves in the
development Guidelines for Indianpatients. Dr Jothiramalingam and Dr Kamaludeen pointed out
that efforts were made earlier to all sections of ASI which however did not materialize. The GB
decided that it would consider the feasibility of developing guidelines in future.
