*Point to Point Fixed Link: The term Point to Point Fixed Link can also be referred to as Fixed Terrestrial (Point-To-Point) Link, Fixed Link, Fixed Terrestrial Link.

This Point to Point Fixed Link Licence application form can be used for one of the following:

Apply for a new link licence;Surrender an existing licence;Vary contact details;Technically vary an existing link;Technical variation enquiry;Surrender an existing link licence.

i) Please read OfW85 GN for additional information on making fixed link applications.

ii) If you are applying for a fixed link in the 1.4GHz band please read OfW557 GN for information about the compatibility between 1.4 GHz fixed links (operating in 1492-1517 MHz) and the adjacent band services operating in 1452-1492 MHz, before submitting this application form to Ofcom.

An application can be made for a licence for any Point to Point Fixed Link that is to be deployed in any geographical area administered by Ofcom.When making a request for a new application, or a variation to an existing assignment, you are advised not to commit to the purchase of the equipment until we have notified you of your assignment.If you need help completing this application form, refer to the OfW85 Guidance Notes. It is a requirement of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006 that no radio equipment shall be installed or used in the UK, except under the authority of a licence granted unless it is licence exempted. It is a condition of such a licence that the performance of the equipment must meet the minimum licensing requirements specified in the Interface Requirement 2000.The Wireless Telegraphy (Licence Charges) Regulations set out the fees for licences to use radio equipment issued under the Wireless Telegraphy Act.If you intend to apply for a large number of links please contact us at the above address before making your application. Please print off this form, complete it, and send it to us by post or fax, or take an electronic copy (rtf) and send it by e-mail. In all cases use the addresses in Note 5 aboveFor large numbers of multiple links it is possible to use an electronic batch-load process, if this is agreed in advance. For details contact us at the above address.Only applications submitted on this form, or using the agreed batch process, will be acceptable. Any applications submitted in any other format or found to be in any way incomplete will be returned and will not be processed. Ofcoms Quality of Service target for licences/assignments that require frequency assignment states that a response to an application for a new licence must be provided within 42 calendar days from receipt of a correctly completed application. A.2 Licences are issued and charged for the prescribed interval of 12 months unless you declare they are for temporary co-ordinated use where the licence will be issued and charged one-twelfth of the annual fee multiplied by the number of complete calendar months stated here
