    Event Rules

Army Selection BrB refers to the large edition of the Warhammer 8

    th Edition rulebook

SrB refers to the small (A5) edition of the Warhammer 8th

    Edition rulebook

    - Armies: Each individual player must bring a legal list of up to 1000 points using the selection rules from the 8th Edition rulebook (p134-135)

    - Alliance: The teams two 1000pt lists will then ally using the Allied Armies rules from the

8th Edition rulebook (p136-139) except the Grand alliance section.

    - Magic Items: the Unique rule from the 8th Edition rulebook (BrB p500 / SrB p 172) will be in effect covering BOTH armies in the alliance. E.g. (The allied armies may not both contain the same magic item!)

    - Special/Named Characters: Special/Named Character are allowed, however your

alliance cannot contain the same Special Character in each force (E.g. Two allied Daemon armies cannot both contain Skulltaker!)

    - List submission deadline: Team Lists should be submitted to [email protected]

by no later than midnight on 4th February 2011 (late lists will incur penalties) .

  • Terrain All terrain on tables will be supplied by Oxford Gaming Club

    - Arrangement: Terrain will be arranged on the table prior to your game by the organiser,

please do not move terrain before the game starts, if the terrain is moved or destroyed during in game events please place it back in its original position at the end of your game ready for the next round. (if you have a problem with the terrain placement on your table please call a referee who will only move terrain if he agrees there is a problem)

    - Terrain effects: Please discuss and agree with your opponents BEFORE the game starts how each piece of terrain affects models and line of sight. Please try to resolve these issues amicably between teams, If no agreement can be met between players you may call a referee, (remember a referees decision is final)

    - Mysterious Terrain: The organiser will place cards next to certain pieces of terrain that he has selected. This card will contain the Mysterious terrain chart for that type of terrain. When required* roll a D6 and consult the chart to see what type of Mysterious terrain it is (*usually this is done before the game starts, but some are proximity activated, consult each card to see when to roll)

    Missions

Each of the 3 rounds will be a mission selected from the mission chart in the 8th Edition rulebook (p141). An announcement will be made prior to each round which mission is to be played. (Note: if The Watchtower is selected suitable terrain will be supplied/placed by OGC)

Scoring System: Win = 20 Tournament points Draw = 10 Tournament points Loss = 5 Tournament points

Victory conditions for the rounds will depend on the rules of the mission played, but also victory points scored must be worked out and handed in as these will be used as a tie breaker

    Best Army Award:

During the break for lunch, players will be asked to display their individual 1000pt armies for judging. All players will have a private vote on their favorite army (you can base you decision on painting/modeling/composition or whatever you like) the player with the most votes shall win the OGC best army award.

  • Players Behavior

Remember everyone at the event is there to have fun (including the people running the event). Should you have any disputes during games try to come to a friendly solution. Try rolling a dice or flipping a coin. If not then ask a referee who will make a ruling. All referees decisions are final (even if they are wrong). The first rule to remember is Warhammer is a game designed for people to have fun. So in this sprit the event is designed for everyone to enjoy themselves. If anyone does not want to have fun by threatening people etc then they will be told to leave and their money will not be refunded. The OGC (Oxford Gaming Club) committee members reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who is deemed to be behaving in an unsocial way. The OGC also reserves the right to refuse the sale of a ticket to anyone they may feel would not play in the spirit of the hobby.

Please remember - The most up to date Games Workshop issued rules/FAQs/Erratas must be used. - All models in your army must be painted and based. Painted means at least 3 colours paint applied to each model in the army. - W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. rules are being used (what you see is what you get). Therefore if your dwarf has a crossbow this has to be represented on the model

You will need to bring with you the following:

    - Your entry ticket/registration form and this package. - Your army list (this must be legible!) - Dice (including scatter and artillery dice). - Tape measure or other measuring device. - All rules for your relevant army selection. - Templates. - Glue, for emergency repairs. - Your army. - A tray to put your models on, for easy transportation between games. - A fun and sporting attitude.
