    Students receive 3 high school credits yearly for successfully attending Forbes Road

    Students can play sports and participate in activities at their home school

    9th grade students can participate in a variety of Career Exploration programs

    Students can earn industry certifications and Pennsylvania Skills Certificates

    Students can compete in SkillsUSA and FBLA competitions

    Students can earn FREE college credits through our post-secondary agreements 57% of our 2012 graduates attend post-secondary

    Students can earn money and gain valuable work experience while in school

    30% of our 2012 graduates are employed; 3% of our 2012 graduates are in the military

    Student Organizations at Forbes SkillsUSA

    A national organization solely for students in technical, skilled and service careers. They developtechnical, academic, employability and leadership skills.

    FBLA Future Business Leaders of AmericaWorldwide organization for students interested in business, computers, public speaking andleadership. Activities include competitions, community service and leadership conferences.

    TFIM The Future is MineStudent project group sponsored by the Consortium for Public Education. Students in thisorganization participate in projects throughout the tear, which culminate with a student leadershipconference.

    BAMP Builders Association of Metropolitan PittsburghBAMP is an organizations for students in the building construction cluster. It provides students withopportunities to get involved with local professionals in the industry as well as hands-on experiences.

    FFA Future Farmers of AmericaFFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premierleadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

    Students should join student organizations in order to participate in anyactivities associated with the clubs listed above. Membership fee is $20/yearly andmay be paid in the form of cash/or check made payable to Forbes Road CTC.There are fundraising opportunities to earn your membership dues.
