Academy of LDS Dentists Student
Chapter
The Academy of LDS Dentists is an organization of dental professionals who are dedicated to serving mankind. Its mission is to promote dental education among professionals and the general public; to promote and facilitate dental service by its members, providing manpower and expertise in dental care delivery; and to procure and distribute equipment, supplies, and educational materials to aid in patient treatment and educational pursuits. We seek to accomplish this in a family centered environment which embraces the standards and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, allowing members to enjoy a rich fellowship based on common ideals and philosophies. We embrace the philosophy that it is better to teach someone how to do something that to just provide a service. All-Hill Student Council
The mission of the All-Hill Student Council is: 1) to maintain and develop an intellectually stimulating atmosphere conducive to the acquisition and application of health and science knowledge; 2) to take action in the best interest of the student body and the OHSU community; 3) to provide an official unified voice through which student opinion may be expressed; 4) to provide an official and representative student on school designated committees which receive complaints, investigate student problems and participate in decisions impacting OHSU students; 5) to establish and maintain formal communication between the student body and the faculty/administration; 6) to promote the exchange of information and ideas among the various schools at OHSU. Alliance for Visible Diversity in Science
(AVDS)
Alliance for Visible Diversity in Science focuses on one central mission – to increase visible diversity within the Graduate Studies programs at Oregon Health & Science University by recruiting, retaining, and most importantly, supporting graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, staff, and faculty members from underrepresented backgrounds. We recognize and reflect the important notion that in order to increase diversity on our campus, we must make targeted, deliberate, and measurable efforts to create an environment that not only welcomes, but encourages a diverse population of people. Bedside Medicine Interest Group

The mission of the student-lead Cardiology Interest Group at OHSU is to introduce our peers to the opportunities and philosophies of cardiology and cardiovascular medicine. First Do No Harmony – OHSU A Cappella
We are an all medical student a cappella group that practices weekly on Saturdays/Sundays throughout the year. We sing at events around OHSU and hope to begin singing in the Portland community. (GSO)
The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is an organization by and for graduate students of the School of Medicine. Students from PhD, Masters and Graduate certificate programs are welcome and encouraged to be involved. Graduate students from all programs (including other OHSU schools) share common needs and challenges; the GSO gives students a forum to discuss these issues. We provide a community, both academic and social, for graduate students at OHSU. Medical Students for Choice (MSFC) is dedicated to ensuring that women receive the full range of reproductive health care choices. As OHSU students we stand in solidarity with people and communities impacted by gun violence. As future health professionals, we have a duty to minimize vectors of human illness and injury - including gun violence - and to contextualize these forces within social, economic, and political frameworks.
