Dual Enrollment

Universities/CC - The K-12 school of enrollment codes the courses taken at these schools. TIS will have the course code they need for the specific class being taken. Each University/CC has a distinct school number that is entered as the school site of instruction. The school of enrollment is still their K-12 school.

Dual EnrollmentAttendance

There has historically been a problem getting the University/CC professors to provide attendance records to the public schools. One solution is to provide a form and have the students get a signature from the professor each day they attend the class. These records must be kept for FTE auditing purposes.

Florida Virtual School (FVS)

Students that take on-line courses from the FVS are in the school’s data base but the course is there just for record keeping (student gets credit), the school does not receive FTE, the FTE flag should be ‘N’.

Also, all parental notification documents must be kept at the school for a minimum of three years, and possibly longer if the FTE audit has not been completed.

Drop-Ins

Students from private schools or home schoolers can enroll in a public school. The public school would enroll that student for the class requested.

This would be one of the few times a student would not earn the full 0.5 FTE for a semester.
