In spite of warm water temps bass fishing is still very good, The early morning spinner bait bite is still very good, but can be brief. Tournament anglers are finding big bass well on into the day by using flipping techniques with creature baits. The East side of the lake around J&S has a large number of small bass with larger fish mixed in. The area around the mouth of Indian Prairie has small bass schooling early morning that can be caught on lipless crank baits and other fast moving swim baits. A 3/8 to ½ ounce swim jig with a DOA Cal trailer is working well in the heavy Kissimmee grass areas. Blue gill are being caught around the pass areas by anglers using either crickets and red worms or a fly rod with a small popping bug or rubber legged spider. The colors the fish prefer can change daily so keep searching for that one they can’t leave alone.
