Catholic Women’s League Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil…it has no point…

This season we have a world of reasons to pray. Being able to focus on “One Point” gives us all hope and confidence in humanity. If God brings you to it, He will see you through it! January will begin with a new executive. Dorothy Boras will be our new President. We are asking for a few more ladies to help lead our vibrant, vital Catholic Women’s League group at Our Lady of the Assumption. From the parish level to national, not every charitable group has a leader that is able to meet with our Prime Minister. Change begins in our parish. We are an influential voice and we are heard. There will be an Installation Mass and Membership Drive weekend. On this same weekend, our ladies wear our white stoles and help with all of the ministries at Mass. Please offer your talents to help out and watch the bulletin for the dates and times. Your Annual 2016 Membership fee is due in January, the cost is $25.00. Please use the enclosed envelope and either mail it or place it into the collection plate at Our Lady of the Assumption church. Please attend our Annual Twilight Retreat at the Martha Retreat Center, Monday, January 25, 2016 from 5-9 pm. Cost is approximately $40.00 and includes supper. The topic is Pope Francis's latest encyclical and will be led by Sr. Theresa Parker. To allow the kitchen to plan accordingly, we need to know an approximate number of attendees, please call Esther at 403-328-3046 by January 15th to register or if you have any questions. Lethbridge hosts the Calgary Diocesan Convention April 29th to May 1st, of 2016. Ladies throughout our diocese will join us for a weekend of speakers, worship, and friendship.
