The investment in Duqm refinery and petrochemical complex is
expected to play a key role in Duqm’s industrial transformation
Duqm Refinery & Petrochemical
Complex
• 50:50% JV partnership between IPIC
and OOC
• Integrated complex developed in
phases on 900 Hectare area
consisting of 230,000 barrels per day
refinery, and petrochemicals plant
• Phase 1: target is to start
commissioning by 2018
• Based on crude import & products
export to the international market.

The liquid jetty will act as an important link allowing refined
products to be transported in and out of Duqm
Duqm Petroleum Terminal
Company (DPTC)
• 90:10% JV partnership between
OOC and Port of Duqm respectively
• DPTC will operate the liquid jetty and
the storage terminal
• Phase1: Jetty infrastructure, marine
works for new port basin,
superstructures, Petroleum Coke
storage facilities, associated
buildings and workshops.
• Port is expected to be operational

• Phase 2: Jetty operation and
construction of Terminal storage
facilities.

Once fully operational, Ras Markaz is expected to be the one
of the world’s largest single location storage for crude oil

Oman Tank Terminal Company
• Located in Raz Markaz 70 km from Duqm
port
• To be veveloped in phases, phase 1 has
been approved
• Storage Capacity = potentially up to 200
million barrel
• Natural Depth of 32m, able to
accommodate VLCC crude ships
• Second export Hub for Oman Crude Oil
via a 440km pipeline (in progress) from
Nahada to Ras Markaz
Crude oil and gas pipelines are being constructed to
transport oil and gas to the refinery
Pipelines
• Gas pipeline: Construction of 230 km
of 36” pipeline from Saih Nahada to
Duqm Industrial area and construction
of gas supply station with capacity of
5MM sm3 /d. It is expected to be
commissioned by 2016
• Crude Oil Pipelines: Construction of
2 crude pipelines
- 440 KM crude pipeline from Nahada
booster station to Ras Markaz with
handling capacity up to 700,000
bbl/d
- 70 km crude pipeline from Ras
Markaz to Duqm Refinery

Dedicated utilities facilities will be established to serve our
projects
Takamul -Centralized Utilities
• The project will establish a company
to provide a broad range of utilities to
industrial and petrochemical zone.
• It will provide services such as
process and cooling water,
wastewater, steam, power and
industrial gases.
