Amitananda Memorial Football Tournament was held on 1st October. Winner is team from Chitmu Village

and the Runners is team from Asuniya Khergora.

Monthly 24 hours Akhanda Kiirtana

On 2nd and 3rd October monthly 24 hour Akhanda Kiirtan was held at Guridih village. A Naming Ceremony

was also held at Guridih after the 24 hour Kiirtan programme as per Ananda Marga Caryacarya and mass

feeding was also done.

Distribution of new Clothes to Boys and Girls of Anandanagar Homes

On 5th October Prof. Biswajit Das, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of

Raja Manindra Chandra College, Shyambazar, Kolkata and students of that college organised Puja

Parikrama 2016 for the orphan children and distributed new clothes to them. They had handed over the

Clothes for our Ananda Nagar Children’s Home boys and girls to Rector Master, Anandanagar and

subsequently these were distributed at Anandanagar. In this connection they organised a ceremony

wherein the Principal of that college, Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism & Mass

Communication of Calcutta University, Chief Public Relation Officer of Eastern Railway Zone, Deputy

Police Commissioner of North Kolkata and President of the Raja Manindra Chandra College were present.

Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha was invited and Ac Narayanananda Avt and Ac Haratmananda Avt

attended and delivered lectures.

On 6th October new cloths received from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Raja

Manindra Chandra College, Shyambazar, Kolkata were distributed to the Children’s Home boys and girls

of Ananda Nagar by Rector Master.

Sadhana Sivir held at Anandanagar

From 7th to 10th October Sadhana Shivir was held for monks and nuns at Ananda Nagar. A tremendous

spiritual vibration was created. After the Sadhana Shivir, the monks and nuns visited Archological places,

Marga Guru Quarters and different Tantra Piithas at Ananda Nagar.

Chocolate distribution to children

On 11th October chocolates were distributed to the children of Shyampur village.

Visit of Margiis from Argentina

From 13th to 21st October Margiis of Argentina of Didi Ananda Manidiipa’s unit have visited Anandanagar.

They have visited Kapil cave and Kapil hill at Pat-Jhalda on 14th October where the first philosopher of

the world took birth and wrote his philosophy known as “Samkhya Philosophy”. They did sadhana

(meditation) there.

Next day they visited Belamu hill which was the highest mountain in the pre-historic age. They also

visited Baba’s Quarter “Madhu Murchhana” at Kaushikii and did sadhana.

On 16th they distributed blankets and mufflers (brought from Argentina) to 77 village poor students 60

Home Boys and to 18 Dadas. They have also distributed dresses (shirt, half pant, tracksuit, slippers,

shoes) to all Home Boys. Apart from these they also distributed 4 pieces of apples to all above village

students, Home Boys and Dadas. There was also a collective feast for all. On this day the birthday

ceremony of Margii sister Karuna was observed as per Ananda Marga Carya Charya. All the village

students, Home boys, teachers and Dadas witnessed this programme. This birthday function was a

practical demonstration to all as how to observe the birthday ceremony as per Ananda Marga Carya

Charya.

On 17th they visited Chandidas Charan Tantrapiitha and Baba’s quarter “Madhu Malay” and they did

sadhana there.

On 18th they visited Dimdiha where they had sponsored one new Primary School which was started on

18th October, 2015 and they (which were the foundation day of this school) met all the students and

distributed apples to all of them. Then thy conducted meeting with the teachers and discussed about its

further development. Then they visited the unfinished Dimbogiri Dam and they are thinking to complete

construction of this Dam. This Dam can feed water to surrounding three villages Chatka, Ghaghra and

Dimdiha. On the same day they visited the Dead volcano and Navachakra cave and also did sadhana

there.

On 19th they visited the Central Primary School, PP Home and and taken up a project for developing the

PP home. In the afternoon they visited Dadhichi hill Tantrapiithas and did sadhana.

On 20th they visited Asthi hill, Madhya Rarh Vindu (Central Point of Rarh) which was solemnized with the

presences of Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna and Baba. Then they visited Sapkuthi (snake house) Tantrapiitha.

They did sadhana in all the places.

On 21st they did sadhana sitting beside the “Vyasasan” where Baba used to sit while delivering discourses

and giving Barabhoy on the DMC ground.

Naming ceremony held

On 15th October a Naming Ceremony was held at Chitmu village as per Ananda Marga Caryacarya. There

was three hour Akhanda Kiirtan. Margiis from Argentina also attended this program.

Mass Feeding Programme by VSS

There was a Mass Feeding programme conducted by Ananda Nagar VSS unit as Food For All at the village

Nawahatu on 18 October 2016.The programme was started with 3 hour Akhanda Kiirtan. About 200

villagers participated.

Visit of Margii from Tripura

21st to 23rd visit of Margii family from Tripura. They visited the Archaeological

places and other places.

Akhanda Kiirtan on Diipavali Festival observed

6 hours Akhanda Kiirtan was held at Rector Master Office at Anandanagar on 30th

October on the occasion of Diipavali festival. After Akhanda Kiirtana, there was

collective meditation and meal. Ac Mohanananda Avadhuta delivered speech on

the importance of Diipavali festival as mentioned by our Baba.

Construction of a new house (a VIVAPADA Programme)

Two new houses were constructed at Taherbera and Tatuara villages for two poor

villagers named Dhanjay Mahali and Bhola Kumar respectively with the help of

Argentina Margiis and sympathizers of Didi Ananda Manidiipa Unit. It is a program

of VIVAPADA i.e. Vishes Vasu Parikalpanáy Daridráya (emergency

construction/reconstruction of house of poor persons) given by Baba.
