DescriptionCurrent mode boost regulators with integrated 4A switch. Options include a choice between 280kHz or 560kHz and either positive or negative voltage regulation. A wide (2.7V – 30V) input voltage range accommodates many applications. Available in TO220-7 and Powerflex-7 surface mount (Powerflex is a low-profile D2PAK sometimes called SPAK).

Pin Description:Vc: For loop compensation, current limit and soft start.FB: Senses positive Vout (ref. to 1.276V). When VFB < 0.4V, fsw drops to 20%.Test: Connect to a 2.0 - 6.0V source to turn-off internal oscillator & leave power switch running.NFB: Senses negative Vout (ref. to –2.5V). When VNFB > -0.65V, fsw drops to 20%.Gnd: Internally connected to metal pad of package for better power dissipation.Vsw: Connects to collector of power switch. Open voltage can be as high as 40V.SS: Use to synchronize part to 2xbase frequency. A TTL low will shut down part and put it in low current mode.Vcc: Supplies power to part and requires a bypass cap to ground.
