The most important thing in an emergency is to establish a plan and commit to executing it the best you can.

On the first flight after we installed the Automatic Position
Reporting System (APRS), we had to make an emergency landing.
With APRS our friends and family follow our progress in real time.
The most important thing in an emergency is to establish a plan and commit to executing it the
best you can.
APRS shows us lining up to land on this straight section of road.
You could spend $150/year on a “Spot”, but the APRS hardware
only cost us about $100, and the service is free forever.
APRS is like a “LoJack” for our airplane. When you turn on the master switch, it automatically
starts reporting its position.
