On Windows OS computers, I recommend you do a few things to make life easier: - change settings to show all file name extensions, e.g., pdf - change to open PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader rather than Edge browser, which can’t always open pdf files in your network acct - change to open .m files with Matlab rather Wolfram (default in campus lab)

(1) In the Windows Start menu, select the Settings button (gear)

(2) that opens the Windows Settings window

(1) search for extension

(2) select Show or hide file extensions

(1) check Display the full path in the title bar

(2) UNcheck Hide extensions for know file types

(3) click Apply

(1) click to select a PDF file (2) right-click and select Properties

(3) on line Opens with, click to Change button

select Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, then click OK

then click Apply and close the dialog box

the Type shown should change to Adobe Acrobat…
