Community Activities| The Continuum Project

On Earth Day, 2012, Bridgestone Americas announced a one-for-one spent tire program that sets a waste-free vision for the future of

the tire industry.

Building upon the 100% valuable use rate already achieved by our 2,200 Bridgestone Retail Operations stores nationwide, we launched

The Continuum Project, which is designed to eventually assure that for every new tire the company sells in the United States, one spent tire – a tire

that has been removed from use –is sent to another valuable purpose.

Vision

• Our long-term vision is for all tires to serve beneficial uses after they are taken off vehicles - no tires go to waste

• Bridgestone will lead the way through initiatives that work with NGO partners and other industry and university experts, engaging together to help find a beneficial purpose for all tires after their initial use.
