WHEREAS, the General Tribal Council did adopt by Resolution 8-19-91-A the OneidaAppeals Commission as the judicial arm of government on August 19, 1991; and

WHEREAS, the Oneida Appeals Commission will enhance the process of governmentalseparation of powers between the legislative, executive and judicialresponsibilities of the Oneida government; and

WHEREAS, the Oneida Appeals Commission shall maintain the integrity of an Oneidatraditional peace-making system of decision-making by ensuring that there is morethan one decision-maker for any issue; and

WHEREAS, the Oneida Appeals Commission and the Oneida Administrative ProceduresAct will enhance and protect the self-government and inherent sovereignty of theOneida Nation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin, bysubmission of this application, seeks to enhance"the self-governance and inherentsovereignty of the Oneida Tribe.

PARKS AND WILDLIFE RESOLUTION 12-23-92- B --638 CONTRACTWHEREAS, the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin is a governing body eligible toapply for contracts and grants with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and

WHEREAS, the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin has determined that it willexercise the ability by applying for Parks and Wildlife Contract with the Bureauof Indian Affairs

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Oneida Tribe hereby desires to contractwith the Bureau of Indian Affairs during the period of January 1, 1993, throughDecember 31, of the 1993 Fiscal Year for funds to provide for the management andadministration of Parks and Wildlife, the BIA Home Garden Project, Circle ofFlight and the Noxious weed programs, Project on the Oneida Reservation in theamount of $96,362.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Oneida Tribal Chairman is authorized tonegotiate and execute the contract and amendments thereto as necessary for thecontinuation of the contract, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the authorities granted herein shall be effectiveuntil such a time as the Oneida Tribal Governing Body takes further action byresolution.
