TRIBAL SCHOOL PRESENTATION FOR GRANT: Resolution 02-10-94-AWHEREAS the Oneida Nation is an Indian Tribe within the definition of Section 301(4) of the National Historic Preservation Act. and

WHEREAS, the Oneida Nation has established as a priority the preservation andprotection of our language culture, traditions, and

WHEREAS, the National Park Service has made funds available for projects whichpreserve language, culture, and traditions.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Oneida Business Committee authorizes the TribalChairman to seek funds through the 1993 Historic Preservation Fund Grants fromthe national Park Service for a Education Curriculum Specialist; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oneida Nation contribute In-Kind Contributionsvalued at $6,960.00 to the program.

WHEREAS, the Oneida Nation is responsible for our children for the next sevengenerations by creating a sustainable environment, and

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Oneida Nation to research environmentalissues and keep abreast of latest techniques and technologies in conservation,environmental protection and improvement, and environmental education, and

WHEREAS, the Environmental Legislative Operating Committee mission is to enhancethe capability of the Oneida Business Committee to observe their constitutionaland delegated responsibilities to improve, maintain, and preserve the quality oflife provided by Mother Earth through the development of policies andRegulations,

WHEREAS, the Environmental LOC recommends the adoption of the EnvironmentalPolicy to provide the vehicle for the protection of the environment throughregulations and enforcement,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Oneida Business Committee adopts theEnvironmental Policy as approved on September 30, 1992.
