AN EVENING WITH BRANGWYNCHAPEL Thursday 16th January 7.30pmDrama and music students celebrate the life of the artist, craftsman and designer Frank Brangwyn, responsible for creating the chapel murals 100 years ago, through writings and music of the time.

Christ’s Hospital Museum’s exhibition exploring the story behind the murals will be open and free to visit prior to the performance until 7pm.

BAND CONCERTBIG SCHOOL Sunday 8th March 3pmThe famous CH Band, plus the Training Band, will be in concert performing an entertaining programme of light classics, solos, film music and much, much more. A must for all the family!

CH MURALS: A TALK BY BRANGWYN AUTHOR DR LIBBY HORNERCHAPEL & MUSEUM

Wednesday 18th March 10.30am - 12.30pmThis bookable tour and talk explores the fascinating story behind the Christ’s Hospital murals and cartoon drawings created by artist, designer and craftsman, Sir Frank Brangwyn (1867- 1956) some 100 years ago. It is led by Brangwyn biographer and expert on his life and work, Dr. Libby Horner.

Meet at School Reception 10.15am, where the group will walk to the stunning Christ’s Hospital Chapel, followed by an enlightening talk about the mural sequence. From there we walk to CH Museum, with the current exhibition Brangwyn’s Cartoons at Christ’s Hospital, including special loans and private photos and letters, explained by museum curator Laura Kidner.

Please be advised that numbers for this event are limited. There is walking involved and the museum is accessible via stairs and a lift. Visitors depart from the museum.

ANGUS ROSS GALA CONCERTBIG SCHOOL Sunday 22nd March 7.00pmOur annual musical tour de force marks the second year of our collaboration with the English Chamber Orchestra, our Professional Orchestra-in Partnership, who will play alongside the CH Symphony Orchestra. Grecian pupils George Sanger (Violin) and Molly Bielecki (French Horn) will play concertos. The choirs and Choral Society join forces for Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, accompanied by a professional London jazz trio.

LUNCHTIME CONCERTSTuesdays Court Room 1.30 - 2.10pm Every Tuesday lunchtime during term time, pupils at Christ’s Hospital have the opportunity to present a short music recital in the intimate setting of the Court Room. Do come along and enjoy hearing our students’ musical talents. Admission is free to Friends of CH Arts and parents of CH pupils and a light lunch is available, for a small donation, from 12.45pm. REFRESHMENTS Refreshments are available at many public performances in all venues. The tea cup icon is displayed in the programme for those events.

Christ’s Hospital is pleased to welcome you to organised events such as concerts and plays on the school site. Due to the need to adhere to Safeguarding of Children regulations could we please ask that you do not roam the site when you visit and that you do not seek to enter school buildings, especially boarding houses, unless accompanied by school staff. On arrival you should proceed directly to the event venue where you will be registered by CH staff (or tickets will be checked). Many thanks for your co-operation on this important matter.
