Online Matriculation (Verification Process)
SMU Classification: Restricted
Online Matriculation
All students who have accepted SMU's offer are required to register as students of the University before commencing their studies. Please login to the Applicant's Self Service : https://eservices.smu.edu.sg, which is also accessible from the SMU admissions homepage.
a) Login id is the same as the one you created when applying for the programme, in the format : xxx.apply.
b) After login, depending on the system setting, it may be necessary to click on “Self
Service->Online Matriculation” on the left panel. You will need to perform the following steps to complete the online matriculation process :
1. Confirm Personal Data: Validating/Updating of personal data including Address during study at SMU, Emergency Contact, etc.
2. Make Online Payment: Payment for registration fees via online credit card. Payment
can also be made via Cheques/Cashier’s Orders/Bank Drafts - Note: these should be made payable to Singapore Management University. Please indicate your full name and NRIC/Passport on the reverse side of your cheque/cashier’s orders/bank drafts. Only amounts in Singapore dollars will be accepted.
3. Matriculate Online: Formally register as student of SMU, including acknowledgement of
the indemnity form.
4. Activate SMU Computer Account: Account may only be activated after matriculating online, which is used to access the SMU network resources such as campus email as well as student portal OASIS.
5. Access Online Pre-Term Activities and Info : Use the newly activated account and log
in to OASIS > Home > Pre-Term Activities and Info to perform a series of online activities and to access information pertinent to newly matriculated students, such as:
a. Upload Student Photograph (Compulsory) – Approved photographs will be
used for printing onto the SMU Student Card, which will be issued to you during the IDs Verification and Card Collection Day.
Matriculated students will need to come down in person during the ID Verification session (refer to email for date/time/venue). You must produce the following original documents before you can collect your SMU student card:

Overview
Confirm Personal Data allows students to update their
personal particulars and verify that the information
provided is correct as of matriculation. You have to
confirm your personal data before you are allowed to
matriculate online.

are correct. You must have at least
one Singapore address for ease of
communication during your study
at SMU.
2. If you need to update your
address, click on ‘UPDATE
ADDRESS’ button (see next slide
for more information)

country.
2. If you do not have a Singapore address at
the time of matriculation, you may enter
"SMU" in all address fields and "188065"
in the postal code. Please ensure that
you provide the updated Singapore
address when available.
3. Click ‘OK’ when you’re done updating
your address.

1. Verify that your phone types and phone
numbers are correct.
2. You may identify your preferred mode
of contact by checking the checkbox
adjacent to it.
3. To add a new contact number, click
‘ADD A PHONE NUMBER’.
4. Select the phone type and enter the
phone number.
5. Click ‘SAVE’ (phone numbers will not
be saved if you proceed without saving)
6. To delete a contact number, click the
‘delete’ button adjacent to it and you will
be brought to the “Delete Confirmation”
screen.

2. To delete the emergency

it. You may not delete the
emergency contact if the contact

1. Enter the emergency contact name.
It should not be an existing contact
name.
2. Select your relationship with the
emergency contact by clicking on
the dropdown list.
3. Select ‘same as my
address/telephone’ if the person has
the same contact details.
4. Select the address/telephone type
by clicking on the dropdown list.
5. If you did not check ‘same as my
telephone’, you must enter the
phone number for the emergency
contact.
6. You may enter other telephone
numbers that we can dial to contact
the person.
7. Also, you may choose to enter the
person’s employment details.
8. Click ‘SAVE’ to effect the update
and return to the emergency contact
main screen.

matriculated as SMU student. The
next steps that you will need to

ACTIVATION OF COMPUTER ACCOUNT - TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Note:
• SMU Account Activation may not work on MacBook
• SMU Account Activation may work on IE but if it does not work, please do the following IE settings:
1) Go to "Tools", select "Internet Options" followed by "Security" Tab (Ensure Internet zone is selected) and uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode".
2) In the same "Security" Tab, double click on "Custom Level" and enable “Display Mixed Content”.
