Oxford Bibliographies was named one of the Top 10 Internet Resources of 2013 by CHOICE Reviews Online. Oxford Bibliographies is a tool designed to help busy researchers find reliable sources of information in half the time by directing them to exactly the right chapter, book, website, archive or data set they need for their research.In each subject module, leading scholars from institutions around the world have produced a literary guide to the most important and significant sources in an area of study that they know best.Each subject launches with between 50-100 articles. Each article receives a formal review annually.50-75 articles are added to each subject annually.All entries receive multiple peer reviews and editorial board vetting to provide reliable and balanced coverage.


It is selective, rather than exhaustive.Oxford Bibliographies differs from most bibliographical resources in several important ways:It provides expert recommendations with critical supportive text and annotation.It includes cataloguing of non-print material, especially online resources. Linking on multiple levels facilitates movement to other resources, whether online or available through a librarys catalogue.It contains original scholarly content: each article includes an introduction written by a top scholar in the field.


From the home page, you can either browse the contents of a particular subject,or run a search across the whole platform.

In the left column on an article page, you can see related and forthcoming articles,

and navigate through the article.


In the right column, you can see other articles in the subject module,

and find information about the subject editorial board.

The icons at the top right allow you copy or export citations, print the page, share the link on social bookmarking sites, and save citations to your personal My OBO area.
