I understand, as a PARTICIPANT/DANCER of ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL

DANCEFEST 2018, I am an ambassador of my school and OSSDF; therefore, the

privilege to attend and perform comes with behaviour expectations to be

honoured.

Furthermore, I understand as a vital participant of this event, I will comply with

the following expectations:

1. ALL CHOREOGRAPHY MUST BE ORIGINAL and is a collaboration of student

work created in the elementary and/or secondary school environment.

Choreography IS NOT PERMITTED to be taken from dances choreographed

PLAGIARISM! Costumes borrowed from private dance studios are also not

permitted. Costumes should be simple and effective with the focus on the

student choreography.

2. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards all authorities represented by the

schools attending, especially our host, St. Clair College and The Centre for

the Arts, their staff and the OSSDF Board members. Instructions given by

teachers and organizers will be followed in a respectful manner to assist in

the organization and overall running of this provincial event for secondary

school dancers.

3. Demonstrate a positive attitude of “Good Sportsmanship” towards students

from every school attending ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL DANCEFEST 2018

and demonstrate support for their efforts at this friendly dance competition.

Students are encouraged to be in the audience at times when they are not

rehearsing or preparing for their dance performances. As an audience

member, they are encouraged to demonstrate appreciation of the time,

choreography and effort of all dancers following each dance performed.
