Mother's brother Have me also as his own daughter. Wiped the tears from sad people’s face Shared his jokes and laughter like an ace No questions about his loyalty The love he shows to his family already answered them for me Day and night I bow and pray Giving God praise for letting him stay in our hearts everyday Our protector when life gets rough No one can break the bond, because it's strong and tough In his eyes he reveals a secret Something that is so beautiful, his care for his siblings, his wife, his children, his friends, his students without a trace of regret His love is pure, like no other Thank you God for having him as my cousin’s father, and my mother's brother.

That is what I will remember,Your bravery and your loveThat caring wise and watchful eyeWhich now peers at us from above.

I wish I knew you years agoWith your sly smile and charmSeventy one years of slicked back hairAnd a lovely lady of your own.

I knew the man you becameThe uncle who I adoreThe leader of a familyWho gave us more and more.

There were so many lessonsMost important how to fightTo be proud of who we areStand up with all our might.

Through all the important momentsYou made sure to be thereWhen I graduated Magna cum LaudeYou went through all you could bear.

The cancer had made a comebackBut you wouldn't let us knowYou grinned and bared the painBut we saw you lose your glow.

Every day I came to see youDetermined to give you strengthRefusing to believe anything could hurt you

At least not to any length.

That last Thursday I walked in the roomMy heart dropped and I knewYour time with us was wearing thinI knew that I was losing you.

And still the pain didn't matterYou fought to stay with your wifeYou promised you'd never leave herSo you strained and clung to life.

The truest gift you gave herWas to go without her thereYou heard us say it was her wishAnd you passed the load to bear.

Surrounded in love and admirationWe stayed with you as your guidesAnd the sun shone on your faceAs you began to switch sides.

A year later I still ache to see youTo hear you laugh or see your smileI'd willingly bear a harder loadJust to talk for a little while.

That is what I'll rememberYour bravery and your loveThat caring wise and watchful eyeThat now peers at us from above.

When tomorrow starts without meAnd I’m not here to see

If the sun should rise and find your eyesAll filled with tears for me

I wish you wouldn’t cry The Way you did todayWhile thinking of the many thingsWe did not get to say

I know how much you love meAs much as I love youEach time that you think of meI know you will miss me too

When tomorrow starts with out mePlease try to understandThat an angel came and called my nameAnd took me by the hand

The angel said my place was readyIn heaven far aboveAnd That I would have to leave behindAll those I Dearly Love

But When I walked through Heaven’s GatesI felt so much at homeWhen GOD looked down and smiled at me From his golden throne

He said This Is EternityAnd All I promised youToday for life on earth is doneBut Here it starts a new

I promise no tomorrow For today will always lastAnd Since each day’s the exact same wayThere is no longing for the past

So When Tomorrow starts without meDo not think we’re apartFor every time you think of me Remember I’m right here in your heart
