QUESTION #3 THE GAS BILL AT 6334 N. 10™ STREET IN PHILADELPHIA, HAS GONE FROM $46.00 A MONTH TO $297.00 A MONTH. THE PROPERTY AT 6316 N. 10™ STREET HAS ALSO INCREASED 7X'S IN COST. THE THERMOSTAT AT BOTH PROPERTIES READ BETWEEN 65-68 DEGREES ALL WINTER LONG. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR NEW WINDOWS AND DOORS INORDER TO KEEP THE GAS BILLS REASONABLY LOW. WE ALSO UTILIZE THE FIRE PLACE ON VERY COLD DAYS.
OUR TENANTS PAY MINIMUM RENT. WE ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS TO HURT ANYONE BUT RISING PGW COST IS CAUSING US TO RAISE RENT INORDER TO COMPENSATE. I CANT AFFORD THIS AND I'M SURE THEY CANT EITHER. I DON'T THINK RAISING THE PEOPLES BILL TO PAY YOUR OWN IS THE ANSWER. THE PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESS UP SHOULD PAY. NOT THE PEOPLE.
QUESTION #4 I WANT THE Public Utility Commission TO INVESTIGATE PGW FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT THEY PROMISED A RATE INCREASE OF $200.00 PER HOUSEHOLD OVER THE COURSE OF ONE YEAR YET, MY BILL HAS INCREASED OVER $200.00 IN ONE MONTH AND THEY'RE EXPECTING TO RAISE THE PRICE AGAIN IN MARCH. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

On February 8, 2001, the Commission instituted, on its own motion, an inquiry and investigation into PGW's proposed Supplement No. 7 to Tariff-Gas Pa. P.U.C. No. 1. Accordingly, consistent with 52 Pa. Code § 5.61(d), no response to the complaint is necessary and the allegations are deemed denied. A copy of this letter is being provided to Lil Henderson via first class mail.
I f you have any questions regarding this filing, please contact me at your convenience.
Very truly yours,
