OPAQUE FAÇADE & CURTAIN WALL SYSTEMS
Natural Stone and UHPC facades consist of stone/UHPC panels, insulation and stainless steel anchors. Hand set facade panels are either fastended by single anchors to the superstructure or to a stainless steel or aluminum substrucure. If preassembled stone panels are either integrated in a unitized curtain wall system, precast stone veneer or strong back system at the factory and erected on site by crane.

HAND SET SYSTEM
Stone / UHPC Panels are handset on site using stainless steel pin and hybrid anchors which are connected to the concrete superstructure using grouting or welding. Bracket and rail system like from our partner E-Clad allow for fast installation on site.
STRONG BACK SYSTEM
Stainless steel pin and hybrid anchors are connected to a steel or aluminum substructure which serves as support system for multiple facade panels. The strong back frame is either connected directly to the building superstructure or the glazing support system. Insulation and waterproofing is added behind the frame.
UNITIZED CURTAIN WALL SYS-TEM
Multiple facade panels are integrated at the factory into a curtain wall system element including glazing and insulation. Kerfs, and hybrid anchors or own vertical horizontal pin anchors are common connections. Multi floor height curtain wall elements are pos-sible.
DIMENSIONAL STONE
Dimensional stone elements is anchored directly to the superstructure or metal substructure used to support the glazing system.

STONE FACED PRECAST
Traditional stone faced precast.Mechanical anchors between stone and concrete. Thermal separation via a bond breaker. Multi floor height curtain wall elements can be cast.
UHPC STONE VENEER
Natural panels are unitized on large ultra-high performance concrete backer panels. Thermally separated UHPC Stone Veneer has 30% the weight and thickness of regular precast. Complex geometries or multi-floor height curtain wall elements can be realized.
UHPC BRICK VENEER
Brick, slip brick and clinker are integrated into large ultra-high performance concrete backer panels to form floor height curtain wall ele-ments. Insulation can be integrated.
UHPC TERRA-COTTA VENEER
Terra-cotta panels can be unitized on large ultra-high performance backer panels. Complex geometries can be realized.

Each stone comes from a specific location and quarry. Within the quarry there are beds and ledges that characterize the specific com-position of each material. Depending on the layer in the quarry the color and density may slightly vary. This geological diversity makes each stone panel and façade element a unique, one of a kind piece reflecting the beauty and rich diversity of nature. Our experienced in-house geologist will be able to offer their guidance. HOFMANN can source any other stone not shown here including advice if suited for exterior use.
HOFMANN FACADES’ 60 people in-house engineering to pin and kerf systems proprietary high performance undercut anchors to calibrated edges for soffits & corners to a variety of UHPC veneer systems.
