Open Enrollment Flowchart - Please retain for future reference regarding timelines.

If you choose to Open Enroll your child at a school other than his/her district designated neighborhood school, follow these steps:

1) If a New Vista Confirmation of Acceptance is received the following steps must be taken:

Your first step is set up a family interview. The interview gives students and families a chance to learn more about New Vista and for our staff to meet each student

individually. This helps everyone decide if New Vista is a “good fit”.

2) University Hill/Pioneer:

Native English speaking students in grades 1st through 5th should have an educational background in a bilingual program and will be assessed by the school to

determine program appropriateness prior to final acceptance.

New students accepted through the Open Enrollment lottery must follow the link in

their acceptance email to complete the enrollment

process.

Fill out all the information on the Open Enrollment

Application. Incomplete or inaccurate forms may not be

processed. Only one application per child may be

submitted.

Notification of acceptance or non-

acceptance will be sent on or about

January 31, 2018.

notification of acceptance, your

child will be placed on a waitlist

for the schools you applied to.

If your child is accepted to the 1st

choice school and you choose to

decline the seat, you must decline

by email within 10 days and the

child will remain at the current

school of assignment. If you

decline a lower choice, your child

choices above that priority.
