Educating the next generation of women leaders & innovators since 1882.
Our Mission
As a Catholic school, we are committed to helping our students become active participants in building Christ’s
kingdom of justice, love and peace. As a school rooted in the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph, OLP promotes
the cultivation of “gentleness, peace and joy” as we respond to the needs of the “dear neighbor” both in our
midst and in our human community. Through our college preparatory program, our mission is to empower our
students to become knowledgeable in skills needed to achieve success in post-secondary studies, and to
make informed and values-driven decisions in the context of today’s world. As a result of these endeavors, and
working with parents as our educational partners providing a family context of faith-in-action, the Academy of
Our Lady of Peace strives to graduate responsible women educated to the needs of society.

The OLP Difference
Spiritual Life & Service Learning Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1882, OLP has successfully educated young women for more than 132 years to meet the needs of society.
The OLP Department of Religious Studies operates from the CSJ tradition of “Faith in Action”. The curriculum is rooted in balancing formation with information and is integrated across all disciplines under the guidance of the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
With the integration of a Campus Ministry program rooted in student leadership, students are encouraged to engage in their faith and lead others through a vibrant faith experience. Religious studies in the classrooms is complemented with class level retreats for all grade levels. Liturgies are planned by students and led by visiting Priests from all over San Diego Diocese.
Students are required to complete 85 hours of service by the time of graduation, however, most go above and beyond the minimum requirements because the culture of our community is that of serving the “dear neighbor.”
STEAM CurriculumAt OLP, we help our students develop the skills necessary to take on any challenge. We offer 47 classes in the STEAM disciplines.
Our rigorous curriculum includes access to more than 47 classes in the STEAM disciplines.
Science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) subjects are integrated into the curriculum, giving our girls the opportunity to learn and innovate across a variety of disciplines.
We are committed to supporting our the passions of our students and educating the next generation of female leaders and innovators in all fields.
