ROOM PARENT UNIVERSITY

Mission Statement - Uphold the integrity of the teacher, parent, and student triad in encouraging parents to invest their time, to promote goodwill and cooperation within the school community, and to enhance the learning environment.

It is a teacher-directed program to help with coordinating events and activities in the classroom.

It will be available for parents in Middle and Elementary School.

Example of Events & Activities: Thanksgiving Lunch, Winter Festivities, Door Decoration, Teacher Appreciation, etc.

WE INVITE YOU TO BECOME A SUPPORTER OF YOUR FRANKLIN ACADEMY PEMBROKE PINES PTO!

What is the purpose of the PTO?

The PTO works to support the school, enhance learning experience for all children, and strengthen the community bond.

Why should I join the PTO?

It is an organization that you would be proud to be a part of ! The PTO will strive to continue to enhance and enrich the children’s educational experience, and make a difference in the lives of our families.

Why does the PTO do fundraisers and where does the money go?

The PTO needs to raise funds to support the events such as Academic Camps, Awards & Recognitions, STEAM Lab, Graduation Ceremonies and school dances. They also bring in funds to award grants to teachers for enhancements they otherwise may not have in their classroom. Last years largest fundraiser was BOOSTERTHON which not only raised over $34,000 but also promoted fitness to our children.

What can I do for the PTO?

The programs and events are organized, funded and run by the PTO members. We invite you to participate through membership dues and volunteering. A great variety of volunteer opportunities are available. They have everything from leadership roles to simple set up/clean up of events. Your hours are also counted toward the required school volunteer hours. The more volunteers the easier the task !

No Cash School No cash payments. All checks made payable to Franklin

Academy. Make credit card payments on-line.
