Browsing Fair(HSC) Duke Ellington Ballroom 9 a.m. to noon

With more than 30 academic departments and campus resources represented, all of your questions about NIU can be answered in one place. Stop by the college tables for additional presentation, tour and reception information. A guide to the Browsing Fair can be found on page 4.

Campus/Residence Hall Bus ToursDepart from East Ballroom Doors 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tickets for campus/residence hall tours are provided at check-in, and your tour time is printed on your ticket. If you’d like a different tour time, please stop by our ticket exchange table. This tour is optional and takes about 75 minutes. Please begin lining up at the bus tour area five minutes prior to your departure.

* If you took the SAT prior to March 2016, a 910 SAT/2.75 GPA and 1070 SAT/2.5 GPA is required.

Transfer Admission RequirementsTo be considered for transfer admission, you must have completed 24 semester hours of transferable credit by the time of application. If you have not completed 24 hours, you will need to meet new freshman requirements for admission to NIU.

• Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended.

• 2.0* cumulative GPA from all colleges and universities attended.

*On a 4.0 scale.

You will need the following to apply:

• Personal information such as your Social Security Number (if available), your date of birth, your address, etc.

• High school/college/university information (school names, dates of attendance).

• $40 nonrefundable application fee (waived if you apply in our Application Workshop session today).

If you meet our admission requirements, you don’t need to submit a personal statement to apply to NIU. The application takes 20–30 minutes to complete, and you can save your application and finish it later if you are unable to finish in one sitting.
