OJSC Uralmontazhavtomatika (UrMA) is the largest company in Ural and Western Siberia in thesphere of automation of technological and industrial processes in oil & gas, power and iron & steelindustries.

Vostokmontazhavtomati-ka trust was establishedby order No.12 dared06.10.58 of the Ministryof Construction of theRussian SovietFederative SocialistRepublic to performwork on installation ofautomation systems inUral, Siberia and FarEast.

By order No.20-329 dated 18.07.2007 of the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision of the Chelyabinsk Region OJSC UrMA certified the Electrical Laboratory ETL-456, which allowed performing some testing and measuring activities of the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision; On October 15, 2007 UrMA received Quality Management System Certificate No.44 100 101884 in accordance with EN ISO 9001:2000 TUV NORD CERT GmbH in Essen that was confirmed later and shall remain in force till October 18, 2013.

In 2009 OJSC UrMAbecame member of SRO“Neftegazstroy” havingreceived certificate No.000958-2011-6660000470-С-041 “For HighlyDangerous, HighlyTechnical and UniqueFacilities”, which confirmedits status of a reliablepartner.

Having long-term experienceand over 1000 successfulprojects, OJSC UrMA joinedPromstroi Group of Companieson April 8, 2008.

Together with other Group’scompanies UrMA proceeds tothe execution of a number ofsignificant projects, theconstruction of which isplanned for 2012.

In 1961 on the basis ofVostokmontazhavtomati-ka Uralmontazhavto-matika trust wasestablished that due toprivatization in 1990-swas reorganized inopen joint stockcompany.

2009

In 2011 OJSC UrMA signedits major contract withLinde Dresden GmbH(Germany) for theperformance of electricinstallation works in thefacility “PolypropyleneProduction Plant”.

OJSC UrMA becamemember of SRO “Union ofDesigners of Oil & GasIndustry” having receivedcertificate No. 0074-2011-6660000470-02 “Aboutpermit to specific type ortypes of works thatinfluence the security ofcapital constructionfacilities”.

OJSC UrMA has two mobile electrical laboratories on the basis of GAZ-3309: LVI HVTand KAEL-5. The laboratories have all necessary passports and certificates. They are registeredin the Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision and certifiedwith the leading Customers in order to perform commissioning works. In order to carry outworks they developed programmes and methods allowing to perform the assigned tasks of highquality quickly. Both laboratories have advanced equipment that are being tested on a regularbasis, while the staff undergoes training and certification on order to receive permits to works.LVI HVT laboratory is aimed at performing the following kinds of works:

• Equipment test of substations and distribution devices with operation voltage up to 35 kv;• Test of power cable lines with operation voltage up to 35 kv;• Breakdown localization in power cables using equipment and machinery of preliminary and

accurate localization.

Using automatic control system the laboratory performs the following functions: insulationresistance test, rectified over-voltage test with leakage test; AC over-voltage test of industrialfrequency with conduction current checkout; over-voltage test of AC of extremely lowfrequency; insulation resistance test of power cables, power transformers, electric motors andother high-capacity facilities with large capacity with AC voltage of extremely low frequency0.1…0,01hz; breakdown localization in power cables.

Cable mobile electrical laboratory KAEL-5 is mounted in a car van GAZ-3309 and isdesigned for breakdown localization in power cables of all types, as well as insulation testing ofcables and other devices and accessories with AC and DC (50 hz) high voltage; burn down ofdefective cable insulation with its further after-burning; determination of the route of cable lines;topographic breakdown localization in power cables using induction and acoustic methods;determination of the distance to the breakdown of high-voltage cables of 0.4-10 kV usingimpulse method by high and low voltage; breakdown localization in power cable of the type“one-phase circuit”.

Mounting Preparation Section

OJSC UrMA has its own mounting preparation section (MPS) in the city of Chelyabinsk with totalarea over 2000 m2 in Nizhnevartovsk with total area of 1000 m2.MPS was aimed at providing the Company’s mounting branches with structural assembly for panel andpipe shells, cable routing, distribution frames and stands for local instruments and base constructions.Today MPS covers its own production needs and carries out the delivery of goods for outsideorganizations.

MPS includes the following:• machinery equipment of over 30 machines;• two apparatus for powder painting and drying;• storage rooms of over 700 m2;• handling operations area;• spider crane with the capacity up to 12 tons.

MPS fabricates the following:• panel boards and controlling desks for EC&I and fire & security alarm equipment;• cable systems consisting of trays, bins and fabricated parts for them;• cable shelves and racks;• full metal welded cabinet units for personnel facilities;• archive and storage racks, non-standard products according to the Customer’s drawings, etc.

Products of MPS of OJSC UrMA have been installed in the facilities of the following Customers:JSC Transneft, OJSC SIBUR Holding, CJSC Caspian Pipeline Consortium, OJSC TNK-BP, LLC Mechel,OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Company, OJSC Chelyabinsk Zink Plant, OJSC Zlatoust Iron and SteelPlant, OJSC Fortum, etc.

As a rule, transportable mounting preparation sections (MPS) of the Companies performing installationworks for automation systems and electric power supply systems are located in the same place as theproduction facilities at considerable distance from the construction facilities. Metal structures andnonstandardized products produced at these sections are delivered to the construction sites and it takes time andmoney. Uralmontazhavtomatika, JSC has an engineered and manufactured mobile building of MountingPreparation Section which ensure performance of installation works by the required hardware directly onsite.Demountable building consists of three heat-insulated containers of 40HC type, combined by shared metalframe and covering of packaged units. It allows performing multiple assembly and disassembly of the buildingand its motor transportation from one site to another. MPS is equipped with modern machinery and weldingequipment that meet all HSE requirements.

MPS includes welding and assembly room; fitter’s room; paining room; storage room; administrationand amenity room.

Machinery equipment of the fitter’s room includes combined shear press; screw-cutting lathe; thread-cutting lathe; drilling and milling unit.

Welding and assembly room is equipped with pipe-bending machine; abrasive cutting-off machine;grinding machine; welding equipment.

Paining room is equipped with compressor with spraying gun.

Use of mobile Mounting Preparation Section essentially reduces time of receipt of manufactured metalproducts for erection; moreover, metal products manufactured in the place of work performance correspond tothe requirements of each specific project in full.

Since 2007 OJSC UrMA has been certified within the framework of Quality Management System in accordance with ENISO 9001:2000 TUV NORD CERT GmbH in Essen, which confirms that the Company applies management system inaccordance with the standard specified by the certificate for the performance of the following activities: installation,commissioning and maintenance service of automatic process control systems and engineering equipment.

Since 2009 OJSC UrMA has been a member of NPO SRO “Neftegazstroy” (certificate number 000958-2011-6660000470-041-C “For Highly Dangerous, Highly Technical and Unique Facilities”), having repeatedly confirmed its status during on-siteinspections carried out by SRO’s commissions, as well as the lack of complaints from the Customers. The certificate has beenissued for construction, installation and commissioning works, as well as for the performance of building inspection in thesphere of electric power supply.

Since May 2011 OJSC UrMA has been a member of NPO SRO “Union of Designers of Oil & Gas Industry” (certificatenumber 0074-2011-6660000470-02 “About permit to specific type or types of works that influence the security of capitalconstruction facilities”), which allows performing design engineering of facilities of any degree of complexity.

Since 2008 OJSC UrMA joins Promstroi Group of Companies, construction and erection Holding Company performingdesign and construction of large-scale industrial projects of power-producing industry (oil & gas processing, transportation andstorage facilities), large and smaller power industry and metallurgy industry. More than 10 specialized companies in Russia,Kazakhstan and Belarus form part of Promstroi Group of Companies performing projects on the following conditions:Engineering – Procurement – Construction (EPC);Engineering – Procurement – Construction Management (EPCM).

Responsibility to the CustomerThe Company’s Project Management Process is automated and implemented on the basis of Primavera software. PrimaveraP6 Professional Project Management is the recognized standard for high-performance software for project managementdesigned for managing of large-scale, highly complex and multifaceted projects.

Since 2009 West Siberian Bank of the Russian Savings Bank in Tyumen has been a reliable partner of Promstroi Group ofCompanies. During the period of cooperation the Bank issued several dozens of its products (credit lines, bank guarantees andpayroll card programs). 11
