This machine can only be used with water. Never use drycleaning agents.

Do not allow children to operate the machine.

Do not hose down or spray the machine with water.

All mechanical and electrical installation must be carried out byqualified personnel.

Do not bypass the door locking device.

Should the machine malfunction, please report the fault to thetechnician responsible for the machine.

The electronic program unit controls the various functions of the machine ina certain time sequence with the aid of seven built-in standard programs.The standard programs can also be modified by selecting various options.By selecting options, the user has access to programs for all types of washloads and degrees of soiling.

The control panel consists of program selection buttons (A), option buttons(B), a combined start, pause and rapid advance button (C), symbols withLEDs (D) which show the program selected and the program sequence,plus an alphanumeric display (E).

The alphanumeric display shows illuminated green characters.

In the event of faults, error codes will be displayed on this window. SeeFault codes.

• This option button ensures gentle extraction inall programs. This means that there is noextraction between steps, and only 20seconds' extraction at the end.

• This option gives an extra rinse.

• If options are selected the LEDs by theprogram symbols will alter to reflect these.

• Add the correct amount of detergent andfabric conditioner as recommended by theirmanufacturers.

Machine without coin-meter

• Now the display will show the clock symboland two digits. The two digits are the time leftbefore the wash will be finished.

The two digits indicating time left will notappear when the machine is first installed.Each program needs to have been used atleast once before the time left will bedisplayed.

• For a time immediately after START ispressed the colon character (: ) will flash onthe display. As long as this character is stillflashing a new program can be selected(without losing anything). This means you stillhave the chance to change the setting if thewrong program has been selected. Do asfollows:

• Press PAUSE/START.

• Select a new program.

• Press START again after making any changein the program selected.

• If you wish to find out the temperature of thewater while the program is in progress, pressand hold any one of the program selectionbuttons. (Option on some markets.)

• The temperature will now appear on thedisplay.

If for any reason you wish to halt the wash cyclefor a time, press the START button for a momentor two. The program will be suspended and thedrain will remain closed.

To restart the program, press the START buttonagain briefly.

For coin-operated machines

Insert coins or token(s) corresponding to thefigure shown on the display.

As each coin/token is added the machine countsbackwards towards 00 on the display. Themachine will not start until the display shows 00.

• Press the START button.

• Now the display will show the clock symboland two digits. The two digits are the time leftbefore the wash will be finished.

Rapid advance

Whole steps in programs can be skippedusing rapid advance.

• Press and hold the START button until theprogram indicator LEDs have moved past theprogram steps you wish to skip.

Program end

The door can be opened when the led besidethe key symbol lightens up.

01E Acknowledgement signal for water level not received within timeallowed.

02E Door status acknowledgement signal not received during programoperation.

03E Door lock acknowledgement signal not received within timeallowed.

04E Temperature sensing device indicates temperature below -5°C(continuity fault).

05E Temperature sensing indicates temperature above 98°C (short-circuit).

06E Water level signal above parameter set, on program start-up.

07E Water level signal above parameter set for safety, during program.

08E Increase in water temperature is below parameter set.

10E Water level signal is above parameter set (10 scale units) afterwater discharge.

12E The program control unit cannot read the program EPROM.

13E The program control unit receives no response from the motorcontrol unit.

14E Water level system not calibrated.

Fault codesIf the power supply to the machine should be cutwhile it is working, the programmer has amemory which stores the program selected for 8to 10 minutes.

The machine will restart automatically once thepower supply is restored.

Faults/errors in the program or machine areindicated by a numerical error code on thecontrol panel display.

In the case of error codes 01, 02 and 03, anattempt to restart the machine may be made assoon as the fault has been remedied.

For the other error codes, a service technicianmust be called.

17E Door status acknowledgement signal not received, although doorlock acknowledgement signal has been received.

18E Only with CALCAD 4400. Start not allowed because full paymenthas not been made for that program, or the booking time is tooshort to allow completion of the wash program selected.

19E Communications between the CALCAD 4400 and the programcontrol unit board interrupted.

20E Motor control unit has not received signal for lockacknowledgement, during program.

21E Microprocessor error (Configuration register).

31E Motor control overheated.

32E The motor controller indicates the thermal protector of the motorhas triggered . (Only W355H).

33E The motor controller receives a start command from theprogramme unit without receiving an interlock ACK ("Door locked"signal). (Only W355H).

35E Motor control unit indicating short-circuit between motor windingoutputs.

36E Motor control unit indicating fault/error in receiving circuitry for lockacknowledgement signal.

37E Motor control unit indicating DC voltage level too low.

38E Motor control unit indicating DC voltage level too high.

45E Pulses from speed sensor missing. (Only W355H).
