all materials being highly corrosion resistant

high mechanical flexibility avoiding long term fatigue and breaks of the wires and the optical fibre unit in case of high vibration stress

Design Features

Faultless operating of the fibers requires a proper protection against mechanical and thermal stress.

nkt manufacturers tubes from seamless welded stainless steel which protect the fibers

against various mechanical impacts, moisture and heat.

They are placed as a loose buffer in the center or in the first layers of the cable.

The fibers are embedded with a defined over length and space for movement in a special heat resistant and moisture repellent gel, to withstand bending, vibration, elongation and temperature variation.
