BA(Hons) in Primary Education with QTS
Entry Requirements
• GCSEs (Grade C or above) in at least 5 subjects. These
MUST include English, Mathematics and Science
• Typically ABB at A2 or equivalent (BTEC, IB, CACHE,
ACCESS are all welcome)
• Recent experience of working with children in a school
setting
• Professional Skills Tests
BA(Hons) in Primary Education with QTS
Professional Skills Tests
The University of Brighton recommend that you prepare carefully
before attempting the tests, as you are limited to only three
attempts per test.
• Undergraduate applicants need not have passed the tests before
they come to an interview, although there may be some
advantages.
• We will be prepared to consider your capacity to pass and
potentially make you an offer of a place subject to their
successful completion.
• We advise that you plan ahead and book your tests well in
advance so that you can organise your preparation.

for teaching in Key Stage 3 and a
sound working knowledge of the

English or Mathematics Education with QTS (7-14 years) BA(Hons)
Entry requirements
(subject to government legislation)
• GCSEs (Grade C or above) in at least 5 subjects.
These MUST include English, Mathematics and
Science
• Typically BBB at A2 or equivalent, including English or
maths (BTEC, IB, CACHE, ACCESS are all welcome)
• Recent experience of working with children in a school
setting
• Passing the Professional Skills Tests

Both Primary Education BA(Hons) and Mathematics/English Education (7-14 years) BA(Hons) will include an option at the end of year 1 to transfer on to an enhanced 4 year route.
