AbouttheBurnabyBoardofTrade

TheBurnabyBoardofTrade(BBOT)bringsbusinessestogethertodevelopstrongnetworks,representtheinterestsofthebusinesscommunitytolocalgovernment,andfostereconomicdevelopment.Wealsoprovidearangeofservicesandbenefitstoourmemberssuchasspecializedorexclusiveeventsandworkshops,anddiscountedratesoncommonbusinessexpenses.Inaddition,weprovideservicessuchasbusinessregistration,businessnameapprovals,andcertificationofCertificatesofOrigin.

Components&Requirements

WelcometotheBurnabyBoardofTrade’sAccess:StudentCareerDevelopmentProgram!

Tocompletetheprogram,participantsmustbytheendofthesession(May2017)participateinvariouscomponentstoaccumulateaminimumof6points.Toreachtheminimum,itisalsoimportanttopaycloseattentiontothecompulsorymentorportion.Studentswhoachieve13ormorepointswillearnaspecialdistinctionwithexclusivebenefitsincluding:

• Anenhancedreferenceletter• Specialrecognitionatgraduation• EligibilitytochairanAccesscommitteeasanalumnus

CaseCompetition

Inacasecompetitionparticipantsarecompetinginteamstocomeupwiththebestsolutiontoabusinessprobleminanallocatedperiodoftime.Teamsmustpresenttheirfindingsandsolutionsforapanelofjudges.Casecompetitionsaregreattoolstotestyourabilitytoworkcooperatively,thinkonyourfeet,andyourproblemsolvingskills.
