Set in colourful, tropical gardens filled with hibiscus and palms, the family-run Orquidea Guest House is a charming, seafront property in the small town of Sal Rei.

With just 10 rooms surrounding the central courtyard, the property is small and intimate while the chattering macaws Abare and Kiriku, pet dogs, cats and turtles living in the grounds, all add to its quirky Cape Verdean character as do its friendly owners.
