in Orthodontics Only! Can you believe it? Dr. D has kept the wonderful family

atmosphere that makes our office unique. Getting to know every patient and

spending individual time with them is something that we will never change.

AbOuT Dr. SAnDerS...

Dr.

Derek Sanders grew up in West bloomfield, Michigan as the

youngest of five children. Dr. Sanders received his Doctorate in

Dental Medicine from The university of Pennsylvania where he

graduated near the top of his class. Following his dental training,

Dr. Sanders practiced as a restorative dentist in Philadelphia,

PA. He then completed a specialty program in orthodontics and

dentofacial orthopedics at The university of Connecticut, where

he was the chief resident and earned a postdoctoral Certificate in

Orthodontics and a Master of Dental Science degree.

Dr. Sanders is board Certified by the American board of

Orthodontists. He is among a very small group of orthodontists

in the united States to earn this additional degree of recognized

excellence and is the youngest orthodontist in Miami to

successfully pass the clinical orthodontic board exam. Dr. Sanders

is a highly skilled clinician who is loved for his warm personality

and kind heart. He is a member of multiple organizations and

has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics in

orthodontics.

Dr. Sanders resides in Miami with his wife, Michele, and thoroughly

enjoys being a contributing member of the community. He enjoys

spending time with his family, playing golf and tennis, traveling

and watching the Miami Heat.

I am the newest member of the

Orthodontics Only team! I am very

happy to be here as their new Practice

relations Coordinator. everyone has

made me feel right at home since the

very first day. Although patients don’t

see me as often as they see the rest

of the girls, I am always here to help

however I can! I am also looking forward to being Dr. Sanders

newest patient, I hear he’s great at what he does.

I was born in Camaguey, Cuba and came to the united States

when I was six years old. I have lived in Miami ever since and I

love it! I really enjoy spending my free time with my family, my

labrador Amber and my friends. I also like doing any outdoor

activities like going to the beach, riding jet skis, horse back riding

and many other things!

In our all digital office, we are moving at the speed of

technology with flat panel iMac computers at all chair

sides and a touch screen check in station. We utilize

digital x-ray machines in our office, which provides

superior quality pictures with less radiation. Our

sterilization area continues to meet or exceed all OSHA

standards for orthodontic labs and instruments.
