We express our deepest sympathy to all who were stricken by the recent Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011.On behalf of the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology(JSMO), we are pleased to invite you to the 10th Annual Meeting of JSMO with the theme of "Beyond the Global Standard of Medical Oncology ~Perspectives from Asia~".This conference will draw together many specialists in medical oncology from a wide range of disciplines from all over the world. More than 5,000 people are expected to join this event. The 10th Annual Meeting of JSMO will be of great international flavor. The following features are some of the new attempts.
1. Calling for paper abstracts from overseas (particularly from the Asian district)2. International Session, which was initiated by the 9th Annual Meeting of JSMO, will be continued this year, by inviting many speakers from around the world.3. English translation will be provided in all of more than 30 educational sessions, and English Slides will be used in these sessions.4. Joint-Symposiums with the world's leading scientific organi zations such as ASCO, ESMO, CSCO and KACO.
We will update the details of the program as needed. This confer-ence will certainly provide a wonderful forum to enrich and refresh your knowledge base and serve for your advancement in the field of the cancer treatment.We look forward to welcoming you in Osaka.

Submission Guidelines
Late-breaking Abstract
JSMO2012 is inviting the submission of Scientific Abstracts from overseas. Authors are asked to submit abstracts under one of the following categories:
1. Biomarker & Developmental Therapeutics2. Breast Cancer3. Head and Neck Cancer4. Lung Cancer5. Gastric Cancer6. Colorectal Cancer7. Hepato-biliary-pancreatic Cancer8. Hematological Malignancies9. Trials in Progress
Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the Conference website:http://jsmo2012.umin.jp/en/Abstract Submission opens: December 21st, 2011
Late-breaking abstracts may be submitted for studies with new research findings for which no preliminary data are available at the time of the abstract submission deadline (February 8, 2012). The authors of late-breaking abstracts need to submit the first versions, which do not have to contain the complete results, by February 8, 2012. Final versions must be submitted by May 18, 2012.

● To qualify, applicants must currently live in the Asian countries (except for Japan) or be U.S. citizens or E.U. citizens.● If you are already getting financial support from any company or society, your application will be removed from recipient lists.
Among the titles submitted to the 10th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology, those submitted by the researchers living in other coun-tries than Japan will be reviewed by a selection committee. The travel expenses of presenters who have submitted outstanding work will partially be refunded.
US$600~1200 of travel support to 100 Investigators from AsiaUS$1900 of travel support to 20 Investigators from US or EU(The amount of travel support may be changed accordingly depending on the place the applicants live in.)
● Submit paper abstract through JSMO2012 website.● When you're submitting abstract, you will be asked whether you want to apply for Travel Award or not on the first page of online abstract submission proce- dure.● The Selection Committee members will evaluate their submitted abstracts com- prehensively based on the study contents, ethical aspects to select who would be appropriate for this award.● Every investigator whose abstract is accepted in International Session (English oral presentation), will be a recipient of Travel Award. However, Travel Award is not limited only to International Sessions. It is open to any abstract submitted from overseas including poster presentations as well.
