Back in 1992, some now famous films made their debut: “A Few Good Men, The Bodyguard, My Cousin Vinny,” and of course, Disney’s “Aladdin,” which took moviegoers on a magic carpet ride. OSG also made its debut that year as we set

out on our own magical ride when we first opened our doors. As hard as it may be to believe, 25 years ago the internet was still in its infancy, and the same goes for email. Can you even imagine a world without internet, email and Facebook? A lot sure has changed. However, one thing that has not changed is the OSG commitment to its customers and its core values. OSG has always held firm to the belief that we are partners in our customers’ success. As we have evolved, it has always been with the vision of giving our customers the latest technologies and operational excellence.

We recognize that we could never have grown into the company we are today without a dedicated and talented staff, a loyal customer base and innovative partners. A real testament to the company is employee longevity. We have employees who have been with the company 5, 10, 15 and even 20 years. In today’s business world that’s pretty much unheard of. But to our employees it’s not just a job. Our operators, customer service representatives, implementation teams and account managers really do feel like they are partners in our customers’ successes. At OSG, the words Customer Service stand for something. They are a mantra, a culture and a way of life. Customer Service dictates both how and why we do what we do. For us it’s not just about getting the job done, it’s about getting it done the right way and meeting and/or exceeding our customer expectations.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary we look forward to an even greater future for our company, our employees and our clients.

OSG CELEBRATES SILVER ANNIVERSARY

HIPAA & SECURITYMiss taking tests in school? You’re in luck. Each year all company employees are required to take a series of training courses on topics such as Handling Sensitive Information, HIPAA and Security. Over the next few months, you will receive an email from KnowBe4.com letting you know that a course has been assigned to you. The email will contain a link to the training module as well as the start and end dates for the course. The courses are being released on a rolling basis. So far, employees with email at OSG, SouthData and NBS should have received their first emails. In April, physical training courses were set up for the production staffs at those production facilities who do not have email. Then, the staffs at ClickSpark, DoublePositive, Garfield Group and WhatCounts will begin to receive their emails. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to reach out to the NC HelpDesk line at extension 855 or 336-783-5955.

ANNUAL TRAINING COURSES

Exciting things are happening at National Business Systems. NBS, home to the OSG Midwestern Production Facility, recently upgraded their equipment with new, state-of-the-art printers. The speed, quality and accuracy are amazing and will provide our clients with the best product on the market. The Ricoh C9110 full color cut-sheet printer boasts graphic arts quality; the three Kodak Digimaster 150 printers are high-quality production printers; the three Canon 6320 cut-sheet printers have a broad range of applications and are one of the fastest cut-sheet printers in the industry with excellent image quality. Three Pitney Bowes inserters were also added to round out the capabilities of the site, as well as process the new HOA booklets.

Brian Jones, Director of Operations, replaces Joe Axe who recently retired. Welcome Brian to the OSG family.

INVESTMENT IN THE MIDWEST

POSTAL RELATIONS GROUP

ENTERPRISE QUALITY CONTROL GROUP

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has been looking into more creative marketing and researching ways to grow the use of mail. OSG has created a Postal Relations Group to help keep up with what’s going on. This group will focus on the changing postal environment and be proactive in adopting programs that are beneficial to OSG and our clients. They will stay on top of new offerings and promote programs that are in line with our business. Bob May of Carlstadt will lead the group and continue to work with all the sites.

As we all know, consistent high quality and client satisfaction are essential to our business. To make sure we are successful across our multiple locations, we have centralized the quality control (QC) role within the operations organization. The newly-formed Enterprise Quality Control Group (QCG) will enhance what we do today by developing a standard systematic approach in monitoring each step of production. The process will be applied by the local teams with tracking and reporting controlled by the EQCG supervisor. By doing this, we hope to increase production consistency and ensure industry-leading quality for our client communications.Keli Bennett of Mount Airy will lead the team and work with the leadership of each site.

Costco, with over 3 million newly-

appended email addresses, approached WhatCounts

to develop an “introduction series” to gauge overall subscriber interest. This

marks the first time Costco has outsourced work to WhatCounts, which is

a huge win for the agency.
