IPRF members affected

Federal OSHA made a change to their Injury and Illness Electronic Reporting requirements, which will impact certain members of IPRF. The electronic reporting requirement involves: IPRF members with 250 or more employees IPRF members with more than 20 employees that are identified with a certain North

American Industry Classification System (NAICS)

NAICS Look Up

Illinois OSHA has recently added the following departments: Local Fire Protection Department of Public Works Transportation Water & Sewer Treatment

Examples of IPRF members requirement based on the NAICS codes

School and Employee Bus Transportation Certain Park Districts with amusement

operations Ambulance Services not providing fire service Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer Utilities Public Works with Water, Sewer, and/or Street

Departments Waste Collection, Waste Treatment, and Waste

Disposal Urban Transit systems

Important Exceptions

Illinois-OSHA has issued their rulings/directions for the current Federal and Illinois OSHA requirements. Electronic filing would not require the following types of IPRF members to electronically report, based only on (NAICS) industry classification codes, provided they have less than 250 employees: Law Enforcement Elementary, Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges without Bus

Transportation Administrative members such as Housing Programs, Urban Planning,

• Update OSHA 300A form on IPRF - iCE websiteHow to generate OSHA Recordkeeping Form with IPRF/iCE

• Create an account on OSHA website; Create and submit anEstablishment (Department) if required

• Complete OSHA Step by Step instructions at:https://www.osha.gov/injuryreporting/index.html

• Manually or Electronically
