• Doctors Hospital is one of the nation’s largest Osteopathic training facilities, providing residency opportunities in 13 fields of medicine.

• The only central Ohio hospital to be accredited by The Joint Commission (previously JCAHO) and the AOA’s Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.

Innovative & Strong Didactic Conferences

• CORE DayA monthly topic oriented Osteopathic lecture series at Doctors Hospital. A specific topic is

discussed with case presentations and board review with OMM teaching/table time.• Tuesday Didactic Lecture Series

A weekly topic oriented lecture series at Children’s Hospital. A specific topic is presented by Children’s Hospital faculty in a case-oriented fashion with Pediatric board-specific topics.

Board-review questions are reviewed using an electronic audience-response system to provide instant feedback to the individual and the group

• Journal ClubsA monthly journal club is held at both Children’s and Doctors. Concepts of research design,

statistics and evidence-based medicine are covered via these conferences. • Additional Conferences

Morbidity & Mortality, Morning Report, Cardiology, Radiology, Ethics, Pulmonary, Special Interest Groups, Intern Support (discussing topics related to the art of medicine, coping)
