Goals, Usability, and Utility Features of the Website
User friendly, easy access to information Professional, cohesive, personal, cultural look and feel Clean, focused homepage where the humanitarian mission is
the main point Use of multimedia elements--images, sound, and video Functions as a site for general information about
Ouelessebougou and the Alliance for people who wish get involved in the organization or participate in the events
Provides a large scope of information ranging from how to register for a 5 k race to creating lesson plans on Ouelessebougou daily life
Preliminary User Analysis
All Utah second grade teachers, 5K race participants, volunteers, committee members, expedition members, potential donors, and people seeking general information about the organization.
User Characteristics:• Wide range of computer skills • Minimal content knowledge • Frequent or first time users• Required materials: internet access
Preliminary Task Analysis
Learn about fundraising events and dates Find out how to get involved as a volunteer Access information on Ouelessebougou Mali, Africa Learn about the Alliance/organization Find ways to donate to the Alliance Find educational resources for the social studies unit
on communities and change with a focus on Ouelessebougou Mali, Africa

Feedback From Potential Users
While the web page sketches still need to be flushed out and mocked up in a more professional manner,we showed our rough prototype sketches of the homepage and one sub-page to two potential users. This is their feedback:
•The information appears to be well organized.
• The navigation seems clear and easy to use.
• The interface shown is cohesive among pages.
